yea that would be great also..tho the FT/HAR are classified already as a Special Heavy Weapon
Thus it makes sense to have them in 1 tree rather than 2....sharing the same mods/specials. Havinga collective pool for all our weapons would be wonderful..but conflicts with pre-exisitng programming would occur obviously (with all that darn naming! hehe) Rather than complicate matters and make things worse (which the devs seem to do sometimes) many of us feel that just combining the hvy weapon mods into one, so the skill tapes can be applied to them..and then combining the special hvy weapons into another and another skill tape be added..its easier to add new code rather than to rework existing sometimes i believe. Also...what we need too are:
POWERUPS FOR HVY WEAPONS!
i agree that commando needs some work...maybe even a lot of work.
but what you are requesting is simply not feasible WHATSOEVER BY ANY MEANS.
Commando may still have broke areas. But they have given commandos a few things, reworked soem of the MoDs, and played with commando at leats a littl ebit. It is a playable profession. Granted, it needs work....but it is not on many peopel slist of top 3 worst proffs.
Squad Leaders have been broken since day 1...and we have NEVER...EVER received a fix at all...in fact they screwe dus up even more back in October when they messed up our XP formula. We have never received any fixes and extremely small amounts of attention whatsoever...one dev response in I think the entire period since launch.
We are not scheduled for fix until publish 10...and who knows, that could be moved to publish 11.
so while commando needs work....it is never going to get a fix before publish 11...and nor should it. There are other professions mor ehorribly screwe dup than commando that need attention at first opportunity. Sorry broski.
and keep your FT's put away...you may not liek what i said....but theres no way around the logic of the fact that SL's have been broke since day 1, NEVER received any love or attention....and we arent due till publish 10
i dont think the Devs are gonna throw you guys in thereany sooner. The best I think youll get is a fe wminor fixes and changes and maybe some combat revamp stuff prior to publish 11.
Please, if you cant post something constructive and just criticism, dont post on our forums.
And on the fixes...this is a revamp, it is feasible-just like with chef, and what they're doing with smuggler. And we were PROMISED by TH that we were going to recieve significant fixes along with the combat rebalance in publish 7 and 8...it was specifically said to us. I dont know what they say on SL boards, every proffession has problems.
As a signer said in an earlier post..and a great way to sum it up...our purpose is fundamentally flawed....whether you deny it or not, its still there and won't go away until its fixed.
Edit: And on another note..i take it your not a commando judging by your words and your sig...if you want to compare proffessions and tell us that SL hasn't gotten a cent all year...tell it on the In Live/In Concept forums...NOT the proffession specific forums.

you guys are essentially whining for a fix prior to publish 11
and i simply told you that is not feasible unless you get some props in the combat rebalances and a few other tweaks in the next few publishes.
Hands down, SL's were told publish 10 the last I had heard. If you think that they are going to "squeeze" commandos in before that time..i think your setting yourselve sup for disappointment.
I have nothing against Commando..in fact I started going that route early in the game. I also think they should switch your unarmed pre-req's to soemthing in scout. Ive applaude dmany good ideas and I was one of the few non-commandos who thougth your fire DoT nerf was retarded.
However, if you expect a fix prior to publish 11....i just dont think its gonna happen. And while I have nothign against commandos....if it trampe don the toes of SL's getting our revamp id be extremely miffed if you guys did get fixed before us. I grant you that not everything inc ommando works properly, and i will grant you that Commando is not as good as it should be. HWOEVERRRRRR.....SL is not even really playable, at teh very least Commando is at least playable..if not completely and totally working properly with all the nifty tools gadgets and 2 buck twisty-lou's. I have like 1 good use and thats it.i get no defenses or personal benefit from the profession. It is utter and complete trash. Im looking forward to my revamp which has been due for along time.
As i said.i knwo commando isnt perfect...but wedging yourself into a gap is just going to tick people off. I know the DE's arent very happy that they have not been getting substantial fixes liek Chef's did. You cant expect yourselves to just get thrown right to the top of the list. Thats all im saying.
