I don't think its jealousy in terms of wanting to be a Jedi. I think its a visibility issue. There are no more Jedi now than there were before publish 9. You just didn't see them before. People didn't like seeing pets all over the place either. There were just too many and it got annoying. That is the problem with Jedi. Disperse them and make it an once in awile occurance and peopel dont' mind. See them all over and it becomes a problem. The other problem is that Jedi, since they are all powerful, pretty much can camp anywhere they like and there isn't anything anyone can do about it. I don't know if you call that jealousy, but to most it hits their code of fairness and fairplay. Right now if you have a bounty you probalby won't be abel to kill a Jedi and that's a problem. Jedi just have no fear, nothing to worry about as they travel in their Jedi groups. That has to change or you see them all over.

I realized something after seeing all the Jedi in Theed yesterday... We're playing Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I was wearing Stormtrooper Armor, in effect, making me a Clonetrooper. The game has Droidekas. The Jedi should have been ON MY SIDE. At least they left out a certain annoying Gungan.

The way this game is going Gungans will be one of two new races in JTL

Well I'm on the Opposite, I guess I have a Jedi and you dont

IF JEDI IS THE BASE OF THE GAME <> THEN THIS IS A GOOD SIGN THAT ONCE ALL PROFESSIONS GETTHE ATTENTION THEY DESERVE ITS GOING TO ROCK ALL GAMES ON ALL LEVELS INCLUDING ARCADE SPACE COMBAT!

Perfectly Jedi-like response, eh? ...not! And yet, you are playing a Jedi. Very sad for the game, it is. It is a game afterall. And even without concern for the timeline or the fact that melee is more powerful than ranged, it's still bad game design to create a single profession that's more powerful and independent overall than the rest. Even if we forget all about the supposed theme of the game, it's just bad design. It figures that those of us who cling to our imagination and wish for what SWG should be, are the last to give up on bad design. Ironic that it's the idealistic few non-Jedi that will be most soundly whipped in all aspects of the game by those so pitifully representing the symbol of idealism for all the wrong reasons.

Well said Luke. Everytime I try to explain that the Jedi class is ruining the game, I get the old "you're jealous" line. I absolutely am not. I want this game to be as it was intended, about hte struggle between the Rebels and Imperials. I've been on since BETA testing, and all the devs assured us that Jedi's would not be central to the game. Here we are a year later, and they are becoming that way. What's worse is that the people with Jedi slots keep pushing for more, and the devs cave in, despite problems in many classes (some of the most of which reside in our beloved Commando class). I have tried to stic kwith the game despite the crazy direction in which the game is going. I'm hoping that my loyalty will be rewarded.
