Thread: Alternative Proposal: Increased Lower Level Weapons Damage
The idea is a very creative and novel solution to many of the Commando woes. If this has some ability to be implemented by the devs, I think you'll find a lot of support. However, I think there is a level of battle fatigue hitting the community right now resulting from the utter lack of progress on even the most minor of Commando bugs.
But I, for one, fully support any and all efforts you can undertake to get this idea implemented!
Thanks for the support Ack.

On a final note, the LP may indeed be an area of effect weapon, but I, and no doubt many commandos have a goraxed LP that I just could not bear to delete. Many may have these treasured weapons hanging on house walls currently, in sad memory of what once was. It sure would be nice to blow the dust off that pistol, and lay the smack down commando style once again.
I have krayted launcher pistols hanging on walls as twistedmockeries oftheir own former glory ![]()
The idea put forth here is indeed interesting, but I still think we would be better served with 'improved' or 'mark II' versions of some of our lower tier weapons being introduced with the CL 54 and Master Commando restrictions in addition a few HW only specials like the ranged armor break mentioned above. If weaponsmiths had schematics for mark II acid beams and rocket launchers etc, they could craft balanced weapons with caps that fit in line with existing weapons. Having them require master commando would require a significant enough skill point investment to offset their abilities.
I'd also like a 'set charge' ability that would allow us to place a timed explosive somewhere, a la satchel charges. The explosives could be crafted/consumable and come in flavors similar to grenades. I realize this is similar to what rangers are getting, but as many others have expressed, we should get the 'boom boom' versions of these while they get state effect versions. For simplicity's sake, this ability could even consume grenades to save time and effort. Just pull the pin, plop it down, run like the Dark Side, and wait for kablooey.
Finally, revamp grenades and let commandos use bomb droids (if we can't already, I have smuggy in my temp, so I do not know if a stand alone commando can use them or not).
