Thread: Flamethrower DoT is really powerful...
Any to all those guys complaining about getting griefed and woudned in PvP. It's not a problem with the Flamethrower, its a problem with griefing, which sux. The Flame DoT ignores resistances, I personally think thats a bug that should be fixed, before anyone screams nerf.]
As for getting wounded in PvP. If you PvP without having solid medical assistance close at hand for you to go and get healed at... you came unprepared to the fight and deserve whatever you get, rarely have I ever gone to any of the major PvP hotspots and not found a doctor in the med center, thats what they're there for. If a Master Gunfighter hits me with Bleed shot 1 and 2 it can take a lot to get that bleeding stopped... do you hear us complaining?
Currently wounds are the only way to remove someone from a PvP fight. There is more than one class that can do large number of wounds to a person. Under the current system, without wounds, battles would be settled in PvP by who has to go to bed first.
In PvP you want a system where when someone dies, they are enforced by the game to leave and recover, experience downtime. You weren't good enough this time, you got unlucky, the otherside surprised you, whatever. This isn't quake deathmatch where you just respawn and are back in it like you were before. This isn't about I killed x and was only killed y to win. The idea is that your side failed or succeeded to hold or push out the other side, not 'rebels lost last night because they were unwilling to stay up later than their imperial foes'
I would like to have fights where due to my skill or lack compared to the otherside I win or loose. If I am unable to remove a person effectively from that fight it becomes a fight of how long can you stay online for.
