Thread: Can weaponsmiths stop gouging plz
What I did was get 2 factories, hire a weaponsmith to make me the schematics and I voila, I got crates and crates of grenades for a affordable price.
Its a shame most weaponsmiths only get jiggy with it when they make money, grenades really help out, well as long as the Imperial weaponsmiths supply their troops with grenades, were all happy... dont want them rebels killing our AT ST now do we?
Dude, you have no idea how many components and mienrals go into making a glop grenade. An FWG5 takes 3 components and about 80 resources to make....I sell them for about 10k each at 52-203, 2.0 stats. A glop grenade takes 3 components as well, and those components are harder to make then the FWG5's are, and then about the same amount of resources to make as the FWG5 does. I sell about 200+ FWG5's a day, which means I could easily charge 250k for a crate of those...

10,000 creds / 80 mats = 125 cpu
And yes, I know 10k is on the bottom end of the scale. I saw this and just had to post how amazed I am sometimes. Sure weaponsmiths have costs, but at 3 cpu for materials and 2-3 cpu for power how does11 cpu go to 125 cpu so easily?

True, very true. Currently, I buy my weapons from one Master Weaponsmith alone. There are like 3 in my area.
Why do I go back to the same one every time? Politeness, mainly. That and I'm treated as a valued customer.
I've stated this for a while when people said those of us that didn't grind were going to lose out... What it all comes down to is user experience. If the user enjoys buing from you, you're not going to have any problems getting customers.
if your a commando on starsider and you are looking for grenades. email me. i'm going to try to sell them.
500 for a c22 and cyro
750 for a glop
prices are for 1 stack of 5 grenades.

I understand the time factor, and it's not that which annoys me. It's the Wal-Mart attitude that some weaponsmiths take. Cranking out 100's of some item (sub-par) and then charges out the wazoo for em.
If someone makes a quality gun-- top-notch, fully experimented with 900 conduct/quality components... you bet I'll pay more.
Why? Cause they had to hunt down those high quality resources. And that takes time.
Which I don't mind paying for.
