Best point yet. Not only does it seem to cause lag, but I personally find it to be a handicap when i can't see where the target is, where they're going, if they've been knocked down or not(yeah I know little icon in upper left, no time for that) or who is coming at me due to the intense fire and smoke effects. On top of that it seems to cause some serious lag which can cause a number of problems in itself.

I bet if this option was put in many would use it to turn off the LP graphic. I know I've died countless times because I couldn't see my surroundings. And as a part time Tera Kasi student, putting that unarmed to use we commando's have to go through, this is especially important.

Q, here's something else for you.

Wander around the web to the various SWG fan sites.

Click under guides.

Try to find a guide to playing Commando.

Oh, What's THAT?

You can't find one?

Gee, it couldn't be that the class is so broken there exists no guide to playing the class because their ISN'T a class to play?

No strategies. No tips. Nothing?

I mean, my whopping strategy is to hunt leviasqualls because we can run faster than they can and wait for them to die.

I.E. Bleed kills the bunnies, not my flamethrower.

Thank you for letting us know the issues are being worked on. In the meantime, I will continue to wear my Novice Entertainer tag to strike fear into the hearts of my commando enemies.

While I appreciate that BH is the hardest class to get due to the number of skill points it takes, a lot of those points are spent on the Scout line which allows them to find their prey, not kill it.

If you take pure combat skill points into account, Commando needs the most due to the UA requirement. Shouldn't that make us the best fighters?

Therefore, "Commando > Bounty Hunter > Everyone Else"

Ooh, that idea will probably put a few noses out of joint amongst the BH's

I suppose you need to factor in traps there somehow though....

Why would you need to factor in traps? Traps are only useable on creatures not on thebounties that they're hunting.

If anyone else wants to see something funny go look at the way Commandos are set up then go watch the intro movie to the game Commandos 2. They describe what a Commando was/is in there if you come back and look at SWG they tried to make basically exactly what they say in the game and yet failed miserably.

This is going to sound exceedingly rude but..

If its not finished, its admittedly not finished, a) why is it available and b) why are we paying for it.

C'mon isn't this getting a little embarassing for you guys? There's 2-3 practicall combat classes in the game, NPCs are spitting out code-strings like there's no tomorrow, and I can access half of the game's internal code structure via / commands.

No offense but telling a community that its "just a start" at this point is the same as saying "yeah yeah, we'll get to it eventually.. but hey you know if you give us more money it might speed it up *wink wink nudge nudge*"

I'm kinda surprised about this post with regards to Holo's post earlier. It seems that Q and Holo are not on the same page where commandos are concerned. Holo posts that they are going to "significantly up the damage" on many of our weapons, so he seems to understand that there is a dps issue with us using our weapons. Q's posts seem to suggest that he thinks everything is ok and that just a little tweaking is needed. Q, you are wrong. There are major issues with the commando weapons and the commando class as a whole that need to be addressed. Most of those issues are weapon balancing issues of the same type as the T21 that was just hot fixed multiple times in a row.

I don't understand how one weapon can have such love applied to it, while ours languish in TC oblivion. Here are my ideas for the various weapons:

Launcher Pistol: Damage range is fine, speed is fine, up the AP to medium.

Flamer: Damage is waayyy to low up it to 200-500 with a speed of 5 and an AP of medium.

Flame Single, Cone: DOT doesn't work like other DOTs, damage is to low for the delay. This would be just fine if it worked like other DOTs. If the initial hit is for 800 pts the DOT should tick for 800 points. The T21 and laser rifle are good examples of "lower level" weapons that do this kind of DOT damage. And rifles DOT the mind bar, and they don't incur the same time delay as say Flame Single I.

Acid Rifle: Can't use rifle specials so the base damage is far far under where it needs to be. AP should be two tothree.Acid damage should be similar to the flamer 200-500 or so with a speed of 5-6. Acid Single and Acid Cone should be doing around 1k-2k damage, with the current delay acid rifles should be doing 2k-3k with the specials.

Heavy supportweapons: Massive increase in damage. AP should be at least three if not a so far unseen four. These weapons should penetrate any known armor and inflict major damage. The base damage on these should be in the 2k-5k range since there are no specials that you can use with them, and they are charged weapons. These are the guns that should be taking down AT-STs, rancors, grauls, etc.

Grenades: Damage needs to go up, way up. Usually I end up damaging myself more than my target with a grenade. Hits chuba for 75 points, hits shuf for 50 points, hits shuf for 50 points. Occassionally I'll do 200 points with a grenade. Frag grenades should be hitting in the 500point range AOE. Cryoban should hit in the same 500-600 point range AOE and have a stun effect from the cold. Glops should hit in the 500-600 range and doa poison AOE DOT in the same range. Thermal detonators should hit in the 1k-2k range and do an AOEfire DOT, these things are supposed to be small nuclear devices. Proton grenades should hit in the 2k-3k range and do a fire DOT. Currently it can take me a stack of five frag grenades to kill a flesh eating chuba. This is a very expensive way to kill a low level light blue mob.

Con: Things con wayyy wrong with a commando weapon equiped. The launcher is about right, but the others are completely messed up. If you go by the con you get with a flamer equiped you will be committing suicide, there is NO way you can win. Example, a droideka cons red to me with the launcher pistol equiped. The same droideka cons yellow to white with the flamer. If I went after the droideka with the flamer I will die a horrible death in about 10 seconds. Even with the increased damage for the flamer stated above I would not be able to take on of these things on. Personally I'd like to see the weapon brought into line with the con and not the con brougth into line with the weapon.

I am a commando. I should be a very feared force of destruction on the battlefield. I should get owned 1v1 with a BH, but I should be able to stand my own vs anyone else 1v1. I should be the king of group pvp, able to dish out large amounts of damage to a number of people in a group. If pets stay the way they are, I should be the answer to them.

You have already had two correspondents quit. If it takes much longer, your program may go down the drain.

I hope we see some changes to what's on the Test Center soon. Last night I had to drop some skills for pts and seriously considered dropping Commando skills. I am having trouble remembering the last time I used any skills from my Commando profession. In fact, all I've used it for lately is I equip my flamethrower at the mission terminals to get better paying missions .. PERIOD!

"STARTING POINTS"???

I understand our weapons/profession are getting "better", but they still have a long way to go compared to other weapons/professions.

Why can't you "start" somewhere that's reasonable instead of starting all the way on the bottom?

This is a great game and I like it alot...
I signed up for a 6 month account and I intend to play for the next 4 1/2 months.

The thing I hate most is having to tell a "wanna-be Commandos" that we are weaker with our Heavy Weapons than a Novice Artisans using a Generic Crafting Tool.

Not only do we look bad, THEY LOSE INTEREST IN THE GAME AS WELL...
This is true for all broken professions.

This kind of in-game negative feedback amongst players happens MUCH MUCH more thanyou prolly think.
I get asked "How is Commando?" at least once an hour if I am in town or in a cantina.
And each time, I have to disappoint the person that asked.
