And laugh. Never ferget to laugh. But yeah, this idea is great. I mean, the whole POINT of commando is to play with th ings that blow up in your face, and mess around with things that make opponents go boom.

Eh, I think as a command we'd be alot better off with a Heavy Assault Carbine or Launcher Carbine, not a rifle.

The only problem with this is the weapons switch delay, becasue of it i hardly ever change weapons. Good idea though, keep the brain storming going.

hmm a new commando weapon eh? Well I like thelauncher/blaster rifle idea. It will give us a reason to branch out into the rifleman profession but also I would love to see us keep the launcher pistol and maybe add a launcher carbine. I mean we are kind of like BHs but we should really have some weaponry to compete and maybe add some tactics like people have suggested maybe for rifleman add riflebut or riflestock so if we are using our rifle and an enemy is too close we can knock them down and possible maybe 25% dizzy them so that we can get to a longer distants and fire off a couple more rounds. Then for the carbine add in something like the full auto but does a DoT like the firey knockdown for the BHs and for mr. launcher pistol un nerf him for 1 thing and also give him something special like leg lock (/shrug) where you target the legs and it does a DoT plus chance of knocking down the target (obtained at lvl IV in a special category.) Plus I say we keep the HAR give it medium armor piercing to make it more effective and add on a DoT for it. Also if the flamethrower isn't any AP have it be light.

What a commano need is a grenade launcher 
load it up with stacks of you favorite grenade time and have fun.

Ithink that this set of skills is probably the best i have heard so far of all the ideas i have read about. However, i still think that the new weapon should be more of a large assault rifle than a carbine (arent commandos supposed to be theheavy weaponry specialists?). The AoE delays and posture downs especially make a lot of sense and would be quite fun and usefull. As of now there isnt really a profession which has an AoE status effect, and if any profession should have it it would be the commando. -my humble opinion

Maybe we'll get lucky and get a sub machine gun or something. Carbine is what we should typically carry IMO. It's versatile, works at all ranges, and fires a powerful enough cartridge with a high rate of fire.
However, I could see us also having alot of use for a light machine gun or automatic rifle(think M249 S.A.W.). A big honkin' machine gun that does massive damage would definently be nice.

ok i know u guys arent gonna wanna listen cause u all have your hearts set on a grenade launcher but..... what about a heavy deployable machine gun star wars already has one its called and E-Web i believe. it ciuld be set up /deploy then u have to stay there like /takecover you would have your speed and range but.... u cant move until /undeploy

I have heard (but can't reveil my sources) that the Commandos are getting Field deployable immobile weapons. I haven't heard any stats but from what I gather, we as commandos will have these weapons that we can set-up, then climb into and start firing, then climb out of, break down and move on.
I also love the Grenade launcher idea.
