Grenades are not worth it at master either, I threw a proton grenade at a herd of malklock today on dath, I was 26m away
at the time of the throw, Ideal range was 10m and by a strange coincidence the blast radius was also 10m (actually not a coincidence almost all grenades ideal range and blast radius is the same). At 26m, 16m beyond blast range, I took a whopping 1743 damage to the dome incapping me instantly and that was on the low end of the damage range on these particular grenades.
I never stop being amazed at the continuedfutility of a master commando. WHY ARE WE SO WEAK???

err Bcman2k1 you need to find a better WS LOL my WS makes +23 @ 20m with dmg radius of 10m.. and with slice and upgrade they are 2465/5108 ( a tipical proton from her, when sliced for 33% dmg i think it was) 6.0 speed to boot (tho that won't matter much unitl it's fixed)
My point.. the right WS will put in the time and effort to make good grenades... I guess i'm lucky on infinity?
But grenades are only worth it at master for sure... and that means all grenades.. even the things ytou get b4 master are unusable unitl master (effectively that is)

I know what your saying.. but i was not commenting on him getting dmg from being outside.. i simply wanted to point out... that those stats for a proton are not the best or the set ones my any means.

One word!
Use citrus snowcake plus be in the grenade ideal range, this is the key in npc and pvp combat!
Then you hit 100% of the time,,,,
I got 4 fields in grenades, and dont see the trubble, they are great to get combat expo....
And yes, get good weapon smith to do them!
