JTL had pushed the Combat Rebalance / GCW Revamp back enough as it is. And IMO, the end result of JTL wasn't worth the delays.

Now there's going to be another expansion to do the same.

That ship looks like one of the odd transports I have seen around Endor sector in space. Can't for the life of me remeber what it was called though. It has two turrets and was a freighter that gave pretty decent xp when I was grinding pilot xp. /shrug It'll come back to me later

I tried to worn everyone to judge and consider SOE not by what they say but by what they do. I have said since Novemeber the CU would not go to live till May so that it could be marketed with the movie. I got blasted, ridiculed, flamed, called a whiner, a troll, a flamer, a pessimist, told I had no idea what I was talking about. Go back and read TH's post and the IGN article. The missing piece was the additional expansion. SOE was not delaying the CU for code reason or anything else its all about the coin and it was always all about the coin. I don't expect those who have flame me and lit in to me for my opinions in the past to all of sudden stop flaming me but I will give you a big fat I .... i told you so!!! /raspberry

Novock, I owe you an apology. You were right. I believed Garvin's hype. Frankly, I understand why Skeptic is leaving, I have thought about doing the same. It is this kind of crap that SOE continues to spew. Instead of fixing the games core issues, they continue to give us expanisons and windowdressing.

I originally picked June...Then settled into sometime in May I think...Trying to find the post where I put that in, but I have too many posts since then...

Expansions usually cost about $30 to buy, since this will be (or might be) a downloadable Expansion...it could be between $5 to $15....im guessing $10.


Which is nice as we will be paying less (unless if SOE is really stingy), but sucks for our 56k user friends.

I highly doubt it will only be downloadable. A box in the store shelf does its own marketing just by sitting there. People who dont usually read game magazines or read about SWG on the internet would not get exposed to the game if not for a fresh new box.

Ok, basicaly a new expansion is coming out the same time the CU is coming out.

They are still totaly seperat.

All the new weapons/armor and combat systems will be downloaded as a new publish just like any other publish.

The only a few things have changed from before


  1. We know the CU is coming out in May which means the alpha testing and beta testing will start soon.

  2. We now know a new expansion will be coming out at around the same time.

  3. The CU and the RotW will be testing at the same time, RotW will start testing soon to.

  4. We get to look like Badd @$$ Commandos now with robo arms and legs

Overall I would say thise are 2 good anoucements today.

If it a downloadable expansion how would u end up paying for it if u use game cards like i do

My dad's wont put his credit card online so how will i pay for it?
