RazorWolf and I have both thrown this idea about, RazorWolf infact had an amazing post about it. I'd like to call it "Assault Toughness" or "Commando Endurance"

I like this heavy weapons toughness idea thats being thrown around.. its sorta what I was getting at when I asked about what role we wanted. So with something like that, I guess we would be going more in the direction of the 'Tanker' archetype with some big guns. Works for me! I've always thought Commando's should be the front line troops (as have most everyone else I think) And that would be a huge step in that direction.


But of course.. with docbuffs in place, everyone is a tanker. I hope they do something about that.

So Garvin what your saying is that commandos are suppose to have a role like this.

Commandos are your front line heavy hitters. They are the first to go in and deal out the damage and can quickly take down opponents. However if whatever or whoever your attacking is crafty enough to evade your attacks and start landing hits on you and continues so, your gonna go down. So in other words Commandos will be your front front line heavy duty guys, however if you can outwit, basically outlast a commando then they will win. So more or less what your saying is tactics will be more important. Good. I can't wait for the day when spamming a special won't work and there won't be this one ultimate combat macro for character.

That's exactly what I want to see. The day people actually have to think to win and not just press the F12 key about ten times. The day when that master marksman might actually be dangerous to some idiot Rifleman who decides to spam some special.

If that's the general idea I can't wait. I know there are things I don't know and I'm not exactly a expert. Oh Garvin you don't need to say anymore. I think you've probably said more than enough. I'm sure in some way the Devs would like to get rid of you because you make them look bad lol. You've always been the best Garvin and don't you forget that.

I'm just glad to hear that the devs seem to be taking note of the awesome suggestions that various community members make. Hopefully some of the other really good ones will make a surprise appearance in the Combat Revamp. I'm getting seriously stoked about testing it too, guess I'll have to make do with Battlefront and JTL Beta until then.

I brought it up to the Devs about 5 months ago adding a type of "Heavy Weapon Toughness" to our profession...
