people will do what every it takes to get a glow stick, I have had CL1 players ask for help to get the required stuff for the first old man visit....... CL1 they could not even do the grind yet but were trying to find a short cut to the glow stick.

You'd be surprised. FotM professions are so prevalent based purely on stats and what makes you win, not aesthetics or anything like that. If jedi were like normal professions that were really hard to play, you'd likely see an increase in jedi quality (as jedi success would be based largely on skill/wit as opposed to grinding time) and possibly even a decrease in overall jedi numbers.

heh, yeah it would be all jedi PvP'ing like it is now. Seriously though, people will find the best option and optimize it. That is why there is FOTM. So, I think you right, quality within jedi would increase and overall numbers would decrease if it was just another FOTM template. Like the defense stackers of before you still had people who kept to their old templates and had fun with them. Jedi is just rare enough to make it appealing for no other reason than it is rare and probably an easier template to use overall than a regular one. Its not rare enough to make it very elite so now we have just a hodgepodge of jedi, half of which barely reflect what a jedi should be. Make it a regular prof and it would probably get better overall, but would then be nothing like jedi should be. Overall jedi never should have been introduced in this game, simply because it is too hard to balance what a jedi should be to what they need to be to not completely ruin this game for everyone else. But it is too late for that now, and I foresee the path to jedi will become more and more easy to accomplish as the game gets older.
