Why us? Those damn combat xp grinders.
I am so tired of hearing people say "Oh but getting combat xp takes so long and so does jedi. The grind just takes forever!"
Yeah you know why?
Cause you ain't suppose to be a jedi the next day.
And for that matter probably not a jedi at all.
Being a jedi is your in-game life. It's not a profession you just master, it's a journey. And if you think that's to much stop. Just please stop. You shouldn't be a jedi if you think it's just a super long profession to master.
Yeah it's suppose to take forever. It's suppose to be nigh impossible.
Perhaps you just shouldn't be a jedi at all. If you grind jedi cause your bored or say that's all that's left yeah that's why it's not fun. Come to think of it that might be why the game in general isn't fun. Get over the fact that you are not going to be the ultimate warrior in SW universe. Your not and won't ever be. You can be good, but you can't be number 1. And there are a lot of quests out there and stuff to do so go do them. And if that bors you, try roleplaying. Isn't this an RPG?
So to all of you who are using us as way to grind your combat xp up. Please stop.
It's just pathetic and lame. There's more to this game then just grinding and PvP. You need to open your eyes. Make your own adventures. Get in a group without buffs and armor and try going through a dungeon. Go danttoine or Lok get in a group and run faction missions without the buffs and armor.
Maybe explore the planets or just go out and camp during the evening and watch the sunset.
There's a lot a to do, but that's up to you.
I might be angry and frustrated about how our profession is somewhat broke, yet I go on.
Don't give commandos a bad name as being just a bunch of combat xp grinders.

I must get asked about 10-15 times a day about a good place to buy grenades. Get's really annoying...

Can any one give me some tips on what to do. Tricks or anything make it funnier or speed up grinding. Soon i will be jedi and i just wanted to no if there are any tricks?

One of the best tricks I ever found was the search button at the bottom of the forum, and occasionally the advanced search.

Yeah there is plenty of post on what to do when you are at this level.Also check some of the stickes or guides on this board as they will help as well.

I know there is not a lot of love here for jedi grinders, but I dont think they are lame or mercenary or causing less fun for anyone else.
If there is a path that is easier to becoming something you want....do you not have the right to CHOSE that path.
Is it not your right to pick the parts of all of the professions to make your game enjoyable?
The ultimate PvP brawler has parts of each brawler prof mixed in, I certainly would not complain if someone wanted me to teach them a swordsman tree just so they could be kick ass brawlers. They have to sacrifice all of their points to combat to be good at PvP that is their choice.
As for the jedi grinders they have discovered the only weapon that provides combat xp directly, are you not flattered that the fastest path to jedi is to be a commando?
Why should someone elses choices make you look bad, they are the ones taking short cuts and finding ways to get to where they want to be faster.
I dont get pissed of with people asking me dumb questions, it's all part of the interactive fun.

I was a commando back in august of 2003. Back when the flamethrower did crap damage and I had to go through it using my launcher pistol and marksman specials.
-No buffs
-25% armor (and I couldn't even wear a full set of it)
-Using pixie before a fight was considered a luxury
All these "grinders" using my profession just to be a Jedi ASAP....I can't wait until the revamp. It's going to take alot longer after that.
Actually, I wanna slap the marketing smacktard that though it would be a great idea to have player Jedi. Pfffft, what a waste. Go play Kotor 2, more taste, less filling.

This is exactly why I don't wear my tag anymore. I swear I get more tells asking me where to buy thermal dets and imperial dets (or if I would sell them some) than I get with my alt wearing his master doc tag asking for buffs.
The worst thing is that it is getting so insane trying to find 'nades for my normal use that I may drop swordsman just to do WS again to make my own. More power to them though... just more soon to be fresh income for my the BH's in my guild.

Yeah far to many people have pickedup some Commando for just the Grenades. What the heck you know? At least it make's them go through the semi-hellish grind to get some partial reasonable skills. What we should try to convince them to do is grind to Master Commando.....then they will ALL know our pain.....plus you can then use Proton's which REALLY speed up the FS grind. The seed is planted.
