definition of irony = commandos don't flame their corrospondent.
we respect you too much, when we see you fighting in the trenches with us, or hell, leading the charge even, how can we do anything but be cool?

Recently Mastered Commando/Medic here, ive been playing since close to launch, and my only other badge is master marksman of course. I love commando, best profession ever! It needs more defense but it just plain rocks! I mean flamethrowers, beam cannon's, rocket launchers and small nuclear grenades! How cool can you get! I dont think I will ever surrender master commando.... I amhonored to be one of "The few ,the proud, the master commando's"
Rock on commando's we are the most honorable combatants on the field.

I started playing since a month just after launch. And so far I have only mastered marksman and commando. Unlike many jedi never "Tickeled my fancy" but MAN nothing tops a commando. Granted we aren't the uber near godlike class that everyone nerf cried to death but still. Nothing brings a bigger smile on my face than introducing a new crowd to my lag pistol. And when the crap hits the fan in hunting missions? Who do the experienced turn to for a quick turn around? The commando. We have that special quality for sticking with the worst of the worst, and through thick and thing no matter what. The least likely class to run from a fight and leave a group hanging in their own demise? The commando! trustworthy and never afraid to die(as long as it's not a glowstick keychain to the face.)
If you ever have any doubts about the commando profession and how screwed we are, just think of the smugglers out there. At least we started out great. They started crappy and just keep getting crapped on more and more and more. Those poor smoes don't seem to ever catch a break in their favor. We should support each other in times of need(as we have been for a while) and attempt to spread this positive ideal as best we can to other boards. People are most keen to heed words from calm people(s) angry mobs with no real power usually get ignored. So stay proud. Stay strong. Stay safe. Keep away from those glowsticks from hell. and Stay commando!

One other benefit to Commando other than the Flamethrower, specifically when in groups... using your Launcher Pistol and your teammates say, "Could you please stop using the lagpistol? Pleeeaaasse?" or "I can't see! Stop the smoke!"

And like so many of myfellow commandoeshave said, we're proud of you too Garvin! I was getting so frustrated with the state of commando that I concentrated on other games for awhile. While I was busy all my friends had moved to another server to play as Bounty Hunters so after months of themkilling JediI finally came back to Galaxies. I've really enjoyed playing as a BH, but my heart is true to Commando. Whenever I am blasting away with my LLC and I hear that telltale boom of the LP or flamethrower, I get a BIG smile. Especially when no one else knows what that sound is, muhahaha!
I read the forums a lot, even though I hardly ever post, and I truly feel that the Commandoes are some of the most dedicated players in this game. You've got me excited about the changes coming Garvin, and itching to pick up my old flamer again. Thanks for all the hard work!!! /salute

Garvin you ROCK! I remember when I did a little vent post about CM's and it did escilate a bit.....sorry
didn't mean for it to be a flame post.....just couldn't sit back while people complainded for soft reasons. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you and that you are not only a Great Commando Corrospondent but a Great Person as well. There are not many people that I have vast amounts of respect for (not because of my personality) but Garvin is one of the few that I truly do respect and I value his opinion. Keep it up! /salute from one True Commando to another.

WE LOVE YOU MAN!
When i first got this game, i so wanted to be a Commando on the front of the battle lines or in the jungle assaulting a facility, then i got disappointed by the fact at how badly this game was inbalanced. And usually when something is not complete in my eyes, i start brainstorming ideas. And when i came to this forum, i already saw that you put every single idea i had already onto the forums. Your the one who has really helped the commando forum be so positivive, because well, we can't get any worse, so anything they do will be for the better.

Thanks Garvin and it's certainly the truth that there seems to be a bit more "maturity" on these boards. Major kudos go to you for keeping it all together.

Wehave a good correspondant who we know isn't afraid to flame the devs when they are doing bad things... We know that if things had gone sour with SOE, we would have seen the headquarters burning on the 5 p.m. news.
You're going to be fun to talk to on the Sandbox, Daker....

Also, even though i dislike Sony and lost hope many times over the past year, I have the *utmost* confidence in Mr. Garvin
....Im also glad to be on his side rather than against too...!
