the point of fisher's arguement went somewhat awry.

after various military or former military personnel expressed their love for the commando profession and their desire to not see it fail, Caelrie stated the military should have made them thicker skinned.

thats what set off fisher, the other marines/army, and now i find myself strangely angered, despite my now pacific nature.

do NOT confuse compassion with weakness.

anyone who has spent 4 years (or more!) in the military, especially the infantry, can become pretty passionate about their causes, and this profession is now our cause. we ALL want to see it succeed. we stay with a profession that on the whole is pretty pointless and imbalanced because this profession stands for what WE stand for.

its only natural that a commando might be angered by someone who delves into the profession, simply to get ahead on some portion of the game they were having trouble with. those "interlopers" dont support the cause. they dont believe in the cause, and would drop the commando profession the second it became useless to them. - here, we wander back onto military turf.

one thing i still find disturbing, these years after i ended my active duty, is someone whowont commit themselves to anything. sadly, so much of America finds committment terrifying, even something as small as this.

newcommers- welcome to commando! enjoy our grenades. show off your flamethrower... but take the time to master... to understand what the rest of us have gone though, and to understand why we feel the way we do.

our stats have fallen.

our weapons have fallen.

our morale has fallen.

but the commando still stands.

been a long time since i posted here, but as commando was my first love, i still lurk and its still the link i open to access the forums...

jsut wanted to say , i agree totally withj the above.

Istill want to regrind commnado, its just that Doc takes to many points. And i am the guild doc for the past 6 months - the reason i left commando..

soi am jsut lettign the commando community know, there are players out there who sympathise and iwish for the day, a commando will hand my speed capped RM, my rear end.

I will say, that commando was still the most fun of all combat proffs i did. RM is nice for killing entire enraged rancor lairs in 20 secs, but the two tricks we got (strafe II (in a sniper rifle??) and master head shot) kinda grows old.

i miss the coolest animation of them all- the particle beam. (so what if only scratched teh mob...) i miss the *click whoooosh click* , i miss the huge aray of weapons..... i miss ...dammmit i miss it all.

*looks at doc. looks at commando... /pain oh the pain*

Oh and i too am ex-military... (not US forces...)
