TK/Commando is a very good choice for krayts. If you want pearls then do what these fellas recommend and dot/tank Canyon Krayts. I personally will take a juvie over an adult any day of the week. they are easily soloable solo and only require that you fish them away from the adult if they spawn with one. So far my best non-pearl loots are from juvies. They go down in minutes with a flamer. As for the larger krayts, it doesnt hurt to fight them with a partner, just take turns looting from the spawn. So far only jedi seem to do more damage to a krayt than a shock trooper or MCommando, not riflemen, not swordsmen. Im a stubborn Commando and wouldnt have it any other way

I to am a Master commando and a Master Smuggler.
Trying to solo krayts with this twmplate is next to impossible.
I spent most of last night teamed with two tk tanks a rifleman and a couple other non master players.
We took on 5 krayts - 2 juvies the rest the big canyon types.
I managed to land a four FL specials on the first one and aftet that I couldn't seem to get close enough to one to get of anymore specials.
I settled for using AIM and auto fire to wear the critter down as much as I could.
Hitting for anywhere from 854 to 1450 dmg on a 285k ham takes a while.
I also spent quite a lot of time looking at stars. Feign Death worked well last night I didn't gt killed a single time.
One item of note and I have no idea why this happened (new bug):
The very first action I did anytime I started combat or stood up (about a hundered times)
I used my RL on the 1st missed both times and as soon as I tried to use it on any of the rest of the krayts I got a system message stating that I couldn't use heavy weapons while in Feign Death and I couldn't fire it.
thank god finally someone who isnt bickering and with a straight answer
thank you for the advice and info. guess i will just settle with earning money and buying tissues.

Good choice of wps on that screenshot Takai
So I guess you tactic is:
a) Knock down using TKM
b) Warcry and switch to flamer
c) Stack Flame dots
d) Switch back to TKM and tank and let the DOTs do the work
You only use the flamer for DOTs? I guess you don't need a FT with very high speed but instead high damage right?
I have heard other people talk about taking down Krayts very fast with Commando. But did never understand how it could be that efficient. I always thought that the DOT size was after reduction from armor.
I have been thinking of commando for a long time (and I have an uber barrel to use, same barrel that was made for Zhorx "Phoenix" FT) you just made me a lot more interested.
How do you do in pvp with this build? TKM is always decent though.

I really would hate to drop rifles though. My (fs grinding) alt is currently MRM, 4-0-0-0 Commando, Medic 0-0-4-0 and TK 0-1-0-0 (planning to go up in TK to 0340). Think I will level some in commando to try this out.
Another build I am thinking off (with a new character) is Master rifles, Commando 0-0-4-0, TK 0-3-4-0, Med-0-0-4-0. However might drop down to nov medic and get unarmed KD2 and some more defenses.
Knockdown, stack DOTs, run away and do Strafeshot2

When I KD a Night Sister elder, i can hit for 20+K damage - shown here The intial Hit Dictates the Flame Dot - at 20k Damage, the dot is ticking roughly 25% of that, or 5k and lasting for 45 seconds (ticking every 10).
Wow...I think this bothan is asking for a flamethrower for christmas....
