Thread: Guild Armor? [updated 7/25/05]

Hmm,if the guild is rebel, couldn't you go Rebel Assault armor with composite wrists that are colorized? It's give you the advantage oflonger-lasting(and cooler looking)armor, but would be able to keep the color coding.
Also, for the professions certed for light armor, black Ubese looks really cool and stealth commando-ish.
Maybe set it up so color schemes for trim remain roughly the same while different types of players can wear different types of armor? (ie, one set uniform for medium, light, and heavy).
Also, I think it'd be nice if the eventual goal was full mandalorian armor, but until the devs reconisder the implementation that's a bit of a pipe dream.

I like the idea of a uniform,I was thinking about one myself the other dayAnyway I liek the idea but I
have one question-where would I as a squad leader fit in? I have no problem with the rest but I think squad leader should geta certain thing.
Just my 2 cents.
Squad leaders would, if we go with what I was considering, be considered a variant of officer, most likely. So, red trim for them, though it may be a different shade than the normal guild officers. Darker red, perhaps.

Well Tacwraith, I've been doing some searching, and it appears that there are also recon and assault versions of Marauder armor. I'm not positive if this is true or not, please fil me in. I have to agree that it is definitely a rugged appearing armor, but there are pieces I dislike, particularly the boots, bracers, and gloves. I really like the skirt (reminds me of the ARC troopers), even if I don't like the kneepads. And I definitely hate the helmet. But there are some great possibilities there. How Customizeable are the colors? The leggings would look great in green with the trim in black like you have it. If you could change the color of the little shoulder pads, they would do perfectly for showing combat role, then leave the sleeves green. Otherwise use the sleeves for combat role. Then perhaps we can mix in some comp pieces like bracers and such for a truely unique and origional suit. That is if there is an assault version. Please let me know if this is the case.
The recon version of marauder seems to have gone the same route as BH armor with missing schems, never heard about an assault version of it though.
Like what yall are doin, keep it up![]()

Guild Leader - White with Gold Trim
Guild Officers - White with Red Trim
Rangers (I believe one or two people mentioned trying to master ranger with commando) - White with Green Trim
Riflemen (our snipers) - White with Black Trim
Healers (docs/combat medics) - White with White Trim
Standard Commando - White with Blue Trim
healers/medics should always be white and red.
I would just swap colors with officers and healers. then your done
just dont get your hopes up, those colorsmight not evenbe availible. that would be lame..
Hrmmm, well, staying with the practical nature of the commando, why not mimic our garb from the planet?
Guild Leader: Tan with Purple (royalty, get it?
)
Officers: Tan with Dark Blue
Rangers: Tan with Dark Brown (can substitute green in also)
Riflemen: Tan with Black
Healers: Tan with Light Red
Grunt: All Tan
So perhaps we could have several different types of battle gear, focusing more on tactics via visibility than overall look.

What about crowd control?
Hehe, I was just going by what was previously posted, but ok, here I go (using my battle squads titles lol....):
Special Operations: Designed primarily for stealth, so they get a suit of Tan with Black, or Black with Tan (depends on time of day)
Assault/Crowd: They don't care who sees them, so they get Tan with Light Blue
Close Quarters: Same idea as Assault troops, but they get Silver with Black
Snipers: Trying to be discreet and blend in, they get pure Tan or Dark Brown
Combat Medics: Tan with Red
But as I said before, this would be for tactics only, so a main color scheme is not truly developed. If y'all wanted to make it more obvious, I'd suggest simply making the guild clothing uniforms differing on the roles, for those can be made with more variation and color.
