This is to those that don't have em work and those who do, my proton rifle was in the bank deposit for a bit since it didn't fire, I knew that it said the old ones weren't fixed but had to try. I pulled it outta storage, equipped it, and it did not fire. BUT, much later in the day, I had just cloned with the weapon on me (don't think this mattered) and accidentally equipped it cause i wanted to kill a miner at the outpost, and IT DID FIRE and still does I don't know why it did not at first, but it does now.

And it is definatly AOE, was in Theed killing stormies and a Naboo Police officer walked close to him and aggroed on me, they don't usually.

ANother with a working proton and yes it has aoe as well =( with the 1 gay pt of damage enough to agro but not affect the ham

Well this is one thing I've been saying for some time. Proton Rifles. Or at lest the pre pub19s allways WERE AOE. It quite clearly states the 6m AOE in the weapon description on mine even. So unless two different types have been dropping all along.. *shrug*

But every proton rifle I've eveer seen has allways had that 6m AOE.

Also on the matter of weapons sliced pre pub19 being unsliceable/sliceable post pub19. Ermm.. so far every weapon i had sliced pre pub19. I have been able to slice post 19. Infact the weapons kept the added speed/damage from the pre19 slices. Lost the sliced tag. And were once more sliceable. I havent tried it on my proton rifle yet. But All my smuggler toons weaposn were sliced. And I just up and resliced them. Only problem I'm having is finding the higher end slice tools (As all slicing tools are now loot components. No more crafted tools for smugglers)

Pub19 has been really waky though. Some stuff that was unsliced pre19 is not sliceable now. And other items have been dissapering when equipped etc.

Yeah, but the AoE never functioned. It didn't even malfunction like our AoE with everything else... it just didn't hit with AoE.

But Starsider has gone fubar. And that may be why my proton rifle isn't functioning.

Although smuggler salvaging is borked anyway.

Could be another bug. Dunno. I wouldnt mind it being non AOE. Though personally I got used to the idea of ALL commando weapons being AOE. And just relying on your secondary profession for a non AOE weapon. I ended up taking BH as a pair off with my commando for the tanking ability.Tends to work quite well when dealing with added aggro pulled with AOE.

Well I have to say both of my pre-pub19 proton rifles work with the 6m aoe.

as for slicing, I am unable to slice anything that was sliced pre-pub19, although I do get the slice option on the radial, it wont let me slice it.

as for salvaging I could only salvage the last item in a pre-pub crate of AUKs and WUKs.

Starnick...Got a Post-19 PR tonight...still has 6m AOE listed on the examine...will test it out for ya in a few and see if it actually AOEs...

Great! Been running Necrosis raids but to no avail...the TC one I tested with also had the 6 meter radius but had no AoE, I think thats a bug with all HW whether AoE or not...

Ok it still says Area 6 metere, but I've tried 20+ times to grab a group with AOE...the aoe isn't there...so if you have a PR Pre-19 you have one with 6m AOE and if you have a Post-19 PR it's definately not there...

now the mob may aggro you due to the fact you're killing one of their own, but no AOE Combat spam on Post-19 PRs...confirmed...
