Just got back testing this on TC, newly created ones don't have any AoE whatsoever (a testament to the two bolle's who almost ate me). So I think this is only affecting older ones. Hence, we need some confirmation on newly looted ones off of Necrosis on live...

Items that were slice before publilsh 19 are not marked as "sliced" so when you try to slice them nothing happens. Slicing works fine on weapons not sliced before pub 19. unfortunatly you cannot tell if it is really an unsliced weapon or a sliced pre pub 19 weapon.

It may be certain weapons then, I've been able to get a lot of pre-19 made weps sliced and others won't...some I personally had yesterday that I KNOW were NOT sliced, won't slice though...anywho...
Starnick...Sorry I haven't been able to get a "NEW" Proton Rifle on live yet for confirmation, but I'll get one this weekend...off to work for 36 hours...see ya'll on friday!

not really new to the commando proffession, but could someone post a proton rifle for me so im not totally left in the dark lol

My pre-publish Proton Rifles aren't working either. They somehow failed to do some things on Starsider that they did on other servers last night (like adding the 'salvage' command to smuggler upgrade kits), so it's possible that this fix didn't make it onto my server either.
Good news for the rest of you though, I suppose.

My Proton Rifle is working fine atm... AoE with blue laser...love it . It's pre-publish with damage slice.

I am on starsider and I can't "Salvage" WUKs, and my proton rifle isn't working either.

Anyone looted any new proton rifles to make sure this fix, is a fix? And if newly ones are not AoE like how they seem to not be on TC?
I spent nearly all day doing necrosis runs today, only really got swords and a master marksman rifle...before getting owned on our last run, which probably had the proton rifle (nothing went right...) =/
