Ive been a commando about week and 2 days after launch or less.

Im almost 100% shure i was the first commando on sunrunner.

I hit master commndo a couple days after the first major commando patch.

I have also not dropped one single commando skill.

Bigjimmy/sunrunner/master commando for life.

I made it to Commando about a week before they released the patch that uped our weapon's damage, then hit Master Commando within a week or two afterwards. Took a longtime to get novice but once we got our good FT the rest went easy.

10 months as a master commando. Just can't bring myself to give up any boxes, as I feel like good things are (have to be!) just around the corner.

Been a master commando for only 2 months. Started Commando in April and mastered it in June.

Prior to that I was a Master Bio-Engineer from August 2003 - March, 2004. I REALLY liked being a BE but my game time became incredibly limited when I got married. Now I have to negotiate gaming time. Seeing that this was about to happen, I started my switch over to some grunt work that takes up alot less gaming time. So far, I've really liked Commando and plan to stick with it till the very end.

Oh btw, Stern, I can relate with ya. I've used the Atilius character for about 3 years now. Started him in EQ (briefly), then moved him to Baldur's Gate II, then on to AOand now here. I'm planning to retire him in SWG's though.

Lets see, started playing in late August and I reckon I mastered commando around late November... I'd always vowed to myself that I would never drop my master tag due to love of the profession (despite all its shortfalls) and tinkered around with supplementary profs in order to bolster defenses and give me a few more options in PvP.

Sadly the state of PvP got the better of me at the beginning of this month and I dropped my beloved master commando down to flame 4 and picked up master fencer with the newly available skill points.

Plan on holding this until the fabled combat revamp finally goes live, at which point I'll be heading back up to master commando again (that 900k heavy weapons xp I have stockpiled will make it quick and painless)

I became a novice commando in late October/early November of '03, and mastered it in late December.

No desire to drop Master for anything, either, no matter how broken we are.

Crap, we really are a stubborn bunch, aren't we?

I was a Master Commando from September through February. And for the last 3 days on TC2. I've fired more Rocket shots today with free RLs on TC2 than in 7 months as a Commando.

I'd believe it, hehe. When I dropped commando to grind BE a few months ago I still had a 4 RL's left (I'd bought 5) and 7 HPBC's out of about 11 I'd ever bought.

On the bright side, they're gonna save me having to go track down consumables all over again.

Edit:

I also might add, if you ever have to grind commando, do it all with the LP if you can. Being a master pistoleer right off the bat it's 10x more fun this time to level it up- with all the explosive, screenshaking goodness that comes from having a pistol that shoots rockets!

6 months I think...

Should be about right, I went Ranger/CH from launch for the first 6 months and got bored.

I think the final straw was when a Commando came to Y4 where I was baby tracking and clearing

lairs and just laid waste to about 3 lairs in the time it took me to kill one Klik.

Course I had nothing but my pets and tactics.

All in all I fell in love with the big booms and fireworks.

I'll never give up a single skill either...

I mastered Commando about two months after launch. I quit the game about four months ago and just came back a week ago. I had switched from Master Commando to BH/Pistoleer. Now I've remastered Commando for the third time and am dabbling in BH to kill Jedi's. I've always been in love with Commando, the grenades the FT... everything. I don't think I'll ever give up master again.
