Totally agree with you all the way up to here.

Am I wrong in this analyzation...if so, tell me why....

The word is "analysis"... there is no such word as "analyzation".

Hey...look down the barrel of my Fire Stick and tell me I can't make up my own words...hmmmmm....

LOL...ok...you got me...should have used Analysis...but Analyzation sounded cool....

I'm very pro-dabble.

It would be pretty cool if it were viable to dabble just in grenades, though. For example.

Then you could be a TKA with grenades. Or get most of combat medic. Area poisons and grenades. Mmm ...

Or be a smuggler with a launcher pistol, and a rocket launcher for special occasions. Or more grenades.

You people are rediculous wanting to boycot. If anyone wants it bad enough they can go pay for it. I had to pay for most of acid rifle and field tacics and it was no big deal. I would prefer giving a fellow commando the aprentice xp when they need it but if I cant find anyone I do what I gotta do.

Besides, its not dablers that hurt us, its the lack of ability for us to use other weapons as well so everyone is using a FT.

Want to make a statement, just you yourself use something other than the FT. You probably wont want to since it is by far better than any of our other weapons so who can blame anyone for only taking flame 4 when that is all that is needed right now? Why not take it if you got the points.

I hope for other weapons to work in the future so we can use them efectively and that will take a lot of the focus off nerfing commandos and worrying about dablers.

I totally agree with everyone who disagrees with the main post.

Heheh

As you can see, I am a dabbler in MANY areas.... I'm going TKA, Pistoleer and Commando (with a little Medic on the side)... and anyone who says I can't do that just because I'm having fun doing all those things while you're stuck doing only one type of thing... you've got some issues.

Being able to dabble keeps the game fun and keeps the variety in the game. Taking that away would just limit everyone, including the Master Commandos. Also, being able to dabble keeps people DIFFERENT, rather than everyone simply being all the same. I think it's great to see someone who can bleed you at 65m, Flame you at 15m, and then Dizzy-KD you at 5m.. That's the type of variety that ALL games should incorporate.

The day you drop Medic is the day you can talk, Mr. BoyCotter.

ehhh.

I had to get my Tactics tree tought by NPC but i'm totally down with helping others on my server. Dabblers will be weeded out eventually. I think a vote to make some skills for master only would be better than not helping others.

I'm an ex-master commando, I dropped master and went back to flame4 because the other skills are either totally broken (HAR), pointless (grenades), or too situational to spend 14 skill points on (heavy support). Going back to flame4 hasn't made me any less effective in pvp or pve.

I really wish the other skill lines were more useful, I would love it if ordnance manufacturers (rofl) were morecommon than grenadeers.

The original post is wrong in so many degrees that it's realy not worth going into or even giving it a /yell bump...

Simply put...

1) Nothing wrong with dabblers...Everyone who plays SWG is a dabbler

2) FT is not over-powered, everything else is under-powered/broken...NEVER EVER EVER refer to our FT as being over-powered compared to anything, even our own profession and it's other trees...unless of course you begging fora NERF...A Commando using theterm "Over-Powered" when refering to our FT is a slap in the face of our whole profession....

3) Suggest changes...don't take out your frustration on those doing what they feel is best for their character template...we do the same when we dabble other professions...If Pistoleer had all it's speed, damage and cool specials in one tree I'd be all over it...and I'd be upset when and if they NERF'd it...needless to say it's the same story with the Flame Tree...The Dev's put our speed and accuracy in the same tree as the FT specials...of course dabblers are going to want that tree...nothing wrong with that...and unfortunately it's hard to change now without hurting a lot of people...This would never have been an issue of the speed and accuracy for the FT was in the Heavy Weapons Tree in the first place...now it's pretty much to late with out causing serious frustration...

Flame is not over powered. People dabbling in it shouldn mean we narf the power of the tree, at most it might be in need of a restructure of some things to master.

I personally am going to quit this game if they lower the damage of a commando. Not a threat, just a fact . I have tried Rifleman, Bounty Hunter, and Ranger. Out of everything, i find Commando the least broken of them all.

I still dont think commando is as powerfull as we should be vs things like turrets or large groups of NPC's.

I am VERY anti-dabbler and if they need to move every usefull skill of flames to master to get rid of you dabblers then so be it.

They did this to Chers allready and I heard Flamesingle 2 being moved to master and I totally approve of it. Just to get rid of the dabblers.

They need to do this to every elite/hybrid profession in game.. you want to dabble? there is a whole slew of the tier one trees.. who dabbles in elite skills it takes dedication to be any good at them.....

Like people have said we're all dabblers to some extent or other. The only thing that frustrates me with people dabbling in our profession is they get a lot of our thunder with 0-0-4-0. Sure if each tree was proportionately as valuable as the flamethrower I wouldn't mind.

And I have to say I'm enjoying the bonuses at master, not just the +30 accuracy, but the melee defense and ranged defense too. So there is something to be said for going all the way.

This near-sighted anti-dabbler attitude is ridiculous. The professions have yet to even be balanced really; this entire thread is founded on short-sighted ignorance.

We saw the CH theme man it's not nearsighted the sooner the dabblers are quelched the better for our professions. if allowed the devs will nerf every profession where to play PvP it's no longer a profession but a key branch to being DECENT.

I am now heading to TKA if they moved alot of the best parts to level 4 I'd STILL go after them cause it's what I want to be but those dabblers wouldn't want to 'waste' their points on it then or maybe cause there no longer have that option they can weigh heavily what couple classes are worth the effort.
