Thread: Attention: A new age approaches...

I'm really not sure what to say or think...
I definitely understand Tacwraith's POV about the person with the superior machine winning, and yet I kind of like the idea of combat being more like real combat rather than standing in one place and spamming special after special.
Also, food for thought; when has SOE ever managed to do anything right?
The answer to that wold be never or rarely, but even with all the confusion and new information available, im going to wait and test it out on TC before i make my decision to drop my account or purchase a serious equipment upgrade.
if i wanted point and click i would go play battle front 2.
they say they took comments from players about this new change anyone get a memo or an email or get ask about this?
i know for sure i would say hell no too being only one profession and a bigger hell no to not being able to switch professions.
its great commando may come out on top, but not at the expensive of game enjoyment. and the cutting back on professions is huge let down.
i think in my option is SWG isn't doing as well as they think and are trying to cut cost to them and bring in new customers.

Im still a bit shocked at the whole out of blue with this. I am sort of glad about the classes new changes but I am still a bit unsure about the new combat system sure I seen what was described as it but I cant really picture this system just yet I am just going to have to wait and see it in test.
Mark my words. If you want an idea of what the new system will be like, launch into space and kill a few ships. Thebiggestdifference will be it'll be on a level axis instead of the 360 degree non directional range. It'll be different to say the least though.
Well from my experience Non-Turn Based RPGs are pretty fun. I hate normal RPGs generally. Baldur's Gate has been about the only RPG I ever liked. Having played the PS2 Baldurs Gate the Combat is pretty fun and works well. So it can be done. However the Lag of this game is gonna be the issue now.
Also the destruction of everything this game was distrubs me. I'm going to be writing up something better then what SOE has now in the pot, and maybe they'll accept it. I think most of us would like it anyways.

It seems you were in the know, tell me who spoke up for the CH community there??
You say this is great for commando's fine it's your opinion. In your self rightouse zeal to be a part of the oh so private party at austin you have forgotten about your peers. Or are the soe/dev teams your peers and correspondents and players mere insects to be stepped on at your whim.
Did you speak for the correpondents who were not invited? or the commandos who have ch templates too.
You knew also of this pre-expansion since you state you helped them. That means you knew of the bait and switch tactics of the cl 80 pet taming and ch necklace fabrication to get people to buy the expansion.
You sir are no better than the, liar's who work for soe/swg. You have manipulated people and kept secrets and now sing they're praises to your community.
I don't believe you and anyone who does is simply fooling themselves. 6 months from now who else will be eliminated and who else will you stab in the back for a pat on the head from soe.
Blue Name Puppets are no better than Red Name Puppets
Actually, the few folks who were invited were invited (but not told what it was about) just last week on Wednesday or Thursday. Unfortunately I couldn't go while the others were flown down on Nov 1st...
Now, suppousedly it wasn't till the second that they got to playtest the "NGE", and roughly between the 31st and first was when I personally began hearing unconfirmed information regarding a twitch based system. It wasn't till the information was made public, that the information was in fact confirmed and proved to be true. Not too surprisingly, nearly all the corro's are a bit up in arms (including myself) that NONE of this was even was fleetingly mentioned by the developers to us...
I don't know where you got that I knew about this pre-expansion, if you thought that I knew about this for a long time...let me make it clear: I didn't.
At any rate, Im staying positive as some aspects of the NGE (twitch combat...Im against having a class system where you can't drop professions fyi) could be fun...especially if it is what I think it is. If it's not...well, we'll see for ourselves pretty soon on TC, till then...right now being 1 of 9 professions post-NGE will definately (unless if god wants to smite us further) be an improvement over a "support"-only role. It's an opinion, but it is also logical.

I got my information from a commando who came into the ch boards and after reading the thread the shoe did seem to fit.
I may have been wrong in listening to someone elses view on things, bu I am not wrong in the fact the correspondents should be standing by each other and all the communities instead of letting other fall.
Someday you may find its your turn and no one will be here to hear you cries.
I'l say what i choose to say when i feel I must.
Now back to the ch boards where we fight alone since it doesn't effect you I wouldn'twant you to consider helping, naw why when its such a positive age approaching.

Hate to say it, but insulting someone is not a good way to win their support. BTW your sig is wrong, only time that there were that many CH's was in the first few months of the game until composite armor was craftable, buffs mainstream, and CH's took a bit of a nerf. Trust me on that much, I was there...
Nope your wrong, been here since beta myself, check the stats yourself on swg's own web pages.
There are more ch than even commandos see for youself.
Your right insulting people is not a good way to gain support, but supporting a company that manipulates and lies to all its customers is even worse. I"l repeat what I said before, I may have been wrong in my accusations but the final result is the same, the correspondants and the communities should have stuck together instead of trying to pass this off as a good thing for some, and too bad sorry for the rest.
