New Proton Rifles will be getting fixed, Ill be updating this...along with a new commando guide (at least, with a Proton Rifle working...we'll won't be radically different when things get fixed, and the new guide wont have to get revamped so soon)

Yes, they both do suck post-CU, though DE-10 is CL 54 while Geo is only CL 30. However, the Geo is much more expensive to make. The DE-10 is perhaps tougher to make because you need the barrel from the Coal Bin in the DWB. But for pure resource and parts use, the Geo is far more expensive:
Geo:
170 Chromium Al, 60 Mythra Cu, 4 adv BPH, 1 adv BpB, 1 GeoCube, and an optional adv Weapon scope
DE-10:
35 Plumbum Fe, 10 Diatium Cu, 18 ferrous metal, 7 metal, 2 adv BPH, 1 DE-10 Barrel and an optional adv Weapon scope
Really out of line for a CL 30 pistol, which was my contention and I believe the original issue too. The weapons' construction resources for ALL weapons were never adjusted at all to match the new CU level stuf. Not just commando stuf, with the RL being the most ludicrous case...the most expensive weapon to make and it's a CL 22 that does about 275 max damage.

Yeah WS schematic requirements were messed up with the CU...the RL is a CL22 weapon but still the hardest to craft. HPBCs and HARs require the same number of power handlers as a LBC. The PFT is the only weapon that actually I believe requires 1 less power handler than the recently coverted to equipable HWs!

Indeed the PFT takes ehh.. I belive off the top of my head it's 5 power handlers. It'll also take a stock and a barrel. It's a very simple weapon to craft. And fairly inexpensive to do so as well.
By comparison the rocket launcher is about 10x morecomplex and expensive to make. There's a few other low level weapons that still have the pre-cu crafting requirements. Personally I doubt they'll fix this issue any time soon.

I think the old consumables (LBC, ASL, HPBC) take 5 power handlers. I know at least one of the FT's takes 4, at least im pretty sure heh.

What about using Commando to enhance defenses and offenses. i am a master pistoleer/master marksman/master commando. I use commando solely for all their bonuses. Please tell me this is worth it.

I haven't been able to make major posts lately (been monitoring the forums however, so nothing's been missed)...but I'll get some updated threads, especially a new State of the Profession "soon". At the moment I'm in "Hell Week", which will probably last until sometime around Nov 5th so I'm very stressed for time right now. I'll be getting everything out as soon as I can humanly produce them; in the meantime I still am on the corro boards inquiring about the status of love for our specials...still no response Im afraid.

Thanks Nick for everything, hope you didn't think that I was upset w/ you in anyway because of my other post. Just wanted to know what was up since we haven't heard from Helios in a while. Good luck w/ Hell Week./salute.
