No worries, I know you are on the job. And your right, if we start talking about the problems now then we might jeaprodize the new tree. Man I want that assualt rifle...

As for the Heavy Weapon Mods...don't despair about those at all...don't worry about loot mongering...I won't let them leave Commandos with no inherent Heavy Weapon Mods...we won't end up totally loot based for those mods...I will, at the very least, push for a large bundle at Novice (if not before Novice) and another bundle at Master...and if possible some variously spread out inbetween (just don't want to risk losing the new tree)...
After playing on TC2 for since it came up, I have no faith the devs will get commando right.

When the Combat Balance begins (which will be soon), the correspondents and some players will be brought on to a special Combat Balance server. We will support that with some In Development threads and other communication tools. I’ll also do some update posts, too.

We need to be optimistic about this...9 months ago we were told we'd never see a new tree...now we are being told that we WILL get one...and most of us can agree...a change, any change, is better then how we are now...Personally, as long as they don't hurt our FT's any more, I wouldn't mind them scraping everything else and starting new....
This is good news...it shows that the Devs have heard some of the things we've been saying to them...It's making the CB feel more like xmas to me...I can't wait to open up our present on that day and see what Santa Dev brought us...
Yup, I totally agree. In my mind, any change (just about) is a good one at this point. I'm all for it, bring on the combat balance!!
I really like the idea of the reloadable launcher and I think this would be the most important addition. One thing that worries me is, will our specials be givenany status effects? So many other combat proffesions have a ton of these and we have one flame dot.And the quesion I would ask TH next time would be "willcommando still suck at pvp after the CB?
It is good to hear something about a fix ![]()
PHEW
any news is good news!
personally I don't like the idea, and I fear our new skill tree will be just for the E-web, if that idea goes through...which well, is nice, yes, I want an e-web, but i'd rather have a assault rifle, again if that idea went through.
just something about needing a squad leader to help me use a weapon is kinda shoddy.
I mean look how many squad leaders are out there, I don't wanna give up 4 4 4 4 teras kasi just so I can USE a weapon of mine
however with an assault rifle? ooh now that'd be fun as heck
well this is based off the speculation an assault rifle or e-web GETS into the game.
but I bet the possible new skill tree is gonna be for the launcher pistol or something
*sigh* I dunno. I just kinda expected too much out of this I guess
I like it. From the sounds of it, heavy weapons might end up without any mods at all within the profession (while having their accuracy and speed bumped up to acceptable levels) with skill tapes further pushing our heavy weapon skills above average.
The news of a new tree is quite nice to hear as well (seeing as the two treesI still have are FT and HSW.
)
OK, this isembarrassing, but could someone please explain to me how skill mods or skill mod tapes work? I keep hearing about them, but I have never seen one, nor know what you do with it. If there is a thread on this topic, please point me that way.
Thanks!

Been waiting for someone to sack up and say that. As for Heavy Support weapons, I know that with the combat revamp damages will be changing, but right now a T-21 easily outdamages a rocket. I hope they pay some attention to that before the revamp but especially after.
