Thread: The Force Sensitive Commando

I think force powers to non jedi is a stupid idea and will only lead to more overpowerd professions and griefing, Great move SOE, Another Step from grace
Think about it
A Rifleman with all the other foece skills, CMs with all the other force skills, can we say Godly?
Just an observation...Force powers, at least the ones I've seen under Jedi Knight status, uber or godly in anyway...
Over on TC2, I've seen TKAs andRiflemen take out Jedi...force powers and all...So far, from what I've seen, their power is about the same as most elite professions (maybe slightly higher)...
The only thing that makes them stand out is the "lightsaber" damage they do which, currently, nobody has resists against...that could be another story...![]()

Not me. I have no wish to be force sensitive, even with these new additions. Force Luck sounds like a very bad idea IMO.

But this is only an -alternative- to Jedi. Everyone won't be FS. There'll probably be less Jedi getting created every month as people "unlock" and decide to FS up their main and go Jedi with their new alt. Which of course will take months more.
But there is a problem: You of course are not required to be Jedi/Force Sensitive. Heck, I don't want to be a Jedi and I care less of their hokey little religion.
It's true not everyone will be Jedi. But to becompetetive in PvP, youwill have to be Force Sensitive to gain those extra perks. I'm sure things will be fine the first weeks the changes take place live. However, master elites will start noticing that they get slaughtered by characters with force sensitivity all the time. What are you supposed to do? Become Force Sensitive yourself and close the gap. In essence, the devs are eventually forcing you to be a wannabe Jedi at the very least.
The GCW, if there ever was one, is going to be fought with gangs of force sensitive people and Jedi. Nevermind the idea of Jedi being near extinct.

Was it that guy Hellshot? ![]()
No, this was a one on one test with another player. I generally don't make it a habit to go around ganking other players (side note: I am so thrilled with the games focus on PvP as of late, despite a majority of players preffering PvE). One thing I forgot to mention was that Jedi on TC2 have yet to receive their robes, so it will bea topic worth revisiting. Also, with the extra accuracy from the fs trees, I seemed to be able to reliably hit jedi, so thats something in our favor. I have tested accuracy against any defense stacked templates though.
EDIT after reading Raptor's link
I forgot to add that one of the most fun things playing on TC2 has been teaching people the true meaning of power. My 2 funniest moments have been while I have been an overt imp (to group with my metal chicken).
1) I am out running mt wort missions to grind jedi experience. I pull up to my mission, powerboost, then start whacking on the single giant wort there. As I am finishing it off, I see a blue dot on my radar as another player pulls up in an X-34 (there is a bug that allows coverts to attack overts of the opposite faction when the overt is using a ls). The guy yells "You dark jedi" and being busy and not really into PvP I said "One sec" thinking the guy might actually wait (silly me). He then says "You die now" and proceeds to start hitting me with the diseased gammorean battle axe. At this point I switch out my lightsaber for my flamethrower and turn him into wort food. Now, the attacking me without provocation was a little annoying, but using a diseased axe was just plain rude, so I returned the favor by deathblowing him and then turning his speeder into a hunk of slag.
2) Just before the wipe of TC2, I actually accrued enough jedi exp to get one box in the ls tree (booo 20hours of wasted grinding). So I run into bestine and get trained. At this point I am wearing my full suit of bright red composite armor. As I am running out to the edge of town (I don't like calling bikes in town because of lag) I am suddleny on the ground and some TKM/whatever else is standing above me, first trying to hit me with a ls and then with his fists. I promptly got up and turned his trando but into a new pair of leather shoes.
The morals of these stories are: 1) Don't fight a commmando unbuffed and without armor and 2) Don't make me mad. It amazes me how people have forgotten lesson one in the months since our weapons got revamped.

Don't worry about the "Force Luck" skill... it just a dumb loot credit booster...

In addition to the Ranged Weapon Speed you can get from being Force Sensitive, After Padawan a Commando could get Force Speed 1 and 2 (which also increases weapon speed).
I suppose we'll see what the combat revamp holds, speedwise, but one Padawan ion TC 2 was firing Flame Single 2 once per second, using a 4.0 speed flamer.
There is currently a bug in Publish 9 that allows all weapons to be fired at the speed cap, which is 1s for default fire and the animation speed for specials (about 2s for ft specials).
