What the devs fail to understand is the obvious lack of accuracy and speed, this being the Commando's main handicap. Lack of defenses comes in a close second. But the lack of accuracy and speed (even at flame IV) actually takes commando longer to level, further ignoring the fact that good xp giving mobs usually have a resistance to heat (the most common damage form in the game)

I don't see us having less xp cost in total to master, in commando only, as a valid reason to cap our max xp/kill. And it's 250k less weapon xp and 45k less combat xp according to my info.
So therefor I'll /sign.

Man the way garvin represents the commandos wish he could represent alot of other professions as well. I feel short come ed in some other professions. I do agree (since becoming one on another server) that we the brotherhood of commandos have gotten the S*** end of the stick I would see the mean or ends justifies the ends or means if they fixed some of our weaponry and such but at this time I feel we are a personal dog profession. I say /sign.

Heh, my first class was Commando, I had no idea for the first 4 months that 3k XP per kill wasn't normal, until I saw a friend playing her TKM.

"Dubya tea eff?! How'd you get 5k XP?!?! I've never got more than 3100, no matter what I killed."
"Dunno what you're talking about, I get 5k for most things."
"Whaaa?!?"

I'm glad to see such a good discussion going on this. I figured it would get a couple of serious responses then the thread would die from all the trolls.


I'm Wondering whether the Dev's are even aware of this problem? If not, maybe a little investigation on their part might determine its a small code change to correct. My guess is that this was not by design and someone just made a code or calculation mistake some where in the games code and correcting that would make a lot of commando's very happy.


Since they pushed the combat and GCW revamps back the Dev's did say they would take what time they had between now and then to fix smaller problems....how about this one???

I shall cling stubbornly to my commando prof, futiley searching for the reason why I'm useful!!!! (Right now its because I can theoretically hit jedi with my grenades better than my bounty hunter/master carbineer friend can with his carbines... at least once...)
