Garvin,
I disagree with your basic premise - its not a broken profession. Sure it needs to be improved, but its all being addressed in the combat balance, which I have stated over and over again. Besides, its still a fun profession and there are lots of players who like playing commandos, including myself, JustG and a lot of other team members.
If you wanted to have postive discussions, I would engage you, but you guys have to be more positive and stop ranting for the sake of ranting if you expect me to engage you in a dialogue.

Absolutely, positively un**edit**ing believeable....
I am positive that the Commando profession is broken.
I am positive that the HAR line is broken
I am positive that grenades do not work as intended
I am positive that heavy weapons such as the rocket launcher, heavy particle beam cannon are impractical on all sides
I am positive the profession is full of contradictions.
It is taking every ounce of energy I have not to go off on a diatribe that would end up getting me banned from the forums and possibly the game....
Sure it needs to be improved, ... <-- Understatement of the year
Garvin, thank you for doing all the work you have done for Commandos. I am amazed that TH claims that our profession is not broken. I will not bother to go over what is wrong with our profession, because if anyone wants that information, there are plenty of posts on that topic (not to mention that Garvin lists them in his message...) Once again TH, your reply was very uninformative and is seemingly based on no information contributed by the people who play this profession.
Is this a negative post TH? If so, please tell me, as I don't see it as a negative post, or many of the other posts you most likely consider negative. I believe them to be constructive criticism. Sometimes harsh words are needed to get a point across.
heh...my new sig

I disagree with your basic premise - its not a broken profession. What commando profession are you playing?
Sure it needs to be improved (inormously large understatement), but its all being addressed in the combat balance WHAT THE FRIGGIN HELL DOES THAT MEAN!!!, which I have stated over and over again. We dont want to hear that, we want some sort of idea what exactly is being worked on. We want to help with any changes thats being made, not have some ignorant dev who thinks that we work finemake all the changesbasedon a dillusional perspective.Besides, its still a fun profession and there are lots of players who like playing commandos (um..if you bothered to look at the commando boards lately you would see that there are more "im leaving" posts then any other practically, including myself (we have to wonder about that), JustG (*cough*invulnerability script*cough*)and a lot of other team members.
If you wanted to have postive discussions, I would engage you, we've been having positive discussions, we've been having positive outlooks nerf after nerf. Ifyou bothered to drop by the commandoboards ever you would see this. Were running out of positive and all we'll have left soon is negative.but you guys have to be more positive and stop ranting for the sake of ranting if you expect me to engage you in a dialogue. Im sorry but its ignorant responses like this that lead us to ranting. We just want afriggin response thats something other then "combat rebalance".

Be more postive?! Positve!?! **edit** have you done to make us feel positive!? Its like if I ripped off your leg and shoved it up your ass and you start to scream and convulse and said "You hafta be more positve if ya want me to remove it"
LOL! I would really like to know what you consider ranting, TH (I'm sure you're reading this...). You are disregarding many good informative posts because some posts are negative. There will always be rants, negative posts, etc.,but you cannot use them as a basis for not responding to the entire Commando community.
Just to add more insult on top of injury (I think its past injury, actually - more like being drawn and quartered)

Yesterday for a few mins the corespondent fourm got "Bugged" and was unlocked for all to see.
Well, I poked around and read this.

Besides the fact that you have a major club of power gamers who will try to pressure you into caving, the fact is, that the game is being majorly changed based on the player desire to revamp the Jedi system. AND we changed the Jedi Crafting process to address the rare loot loss.

Now I dont know if this is true, but at this point nothing surprises me....
For one thing, that was one hell of a letter Garvin.
Silly me though, the whole time reading it I couldn't wait to read what TH had to say....with it thrown at him like this, we would at last have a few simple answers.
Boy was I wrong. But hey, why should I, after all this time, have expected anything better?
It's getting really hard to have a so-called "positive" discussion when so much about our profession is negative....we don't have much, if anything, that we can go to TH and say, "Hey, nice work, I really like this."
Good job Garvin, I really appreciate that letter. Even though it was, as always, tossed aside with no thought at all. Oh well.
