Yeah but he has to have that device. In this new system, you don't even need a device, you magicically heal with your mind.

In the show Star Trek, when McCoy healsa person with his medical devices, do folks call that magic? Nope...Technology doesn't have to have "expenditure" to work...You call it Magic because other MMOs have called it Magic...This isn't real life, so I say give it a chance...I'm excited to try out the change (I have a CM/Doc template on one of my characters).
Healing will be something to get use to, but if I see a Doctor pull out a device to heal me, I won't be thinking of it as magic, I'll be thinking that they must have some technology used.

- All weapons will do a base damage of type of two possible types: "Kinetic" or "Energy". Several weapons will do additional elemental damage of one of the following types: "Heat", "Cold", "Acid", "Electrical".
I would just like to focus on this point for a bit. I was initially...well shocked by this, when I first heard we weren't going to have Blast damage anymore (anyone remember how the devs told us that was our "niche"?).
Unfortunately we won't be able to see -exactly- how well this new damage type system will play out, it may be better as we won't be stuck in the "stun syndrome" in PvP...where you positvely HAVE to either have a stun weapon or stun resistant armour (aka composite). It may also have its negative too....BUT regardless of whichever way the pendulum swings....commando has ALL the elemental damage types under our belts (and...if I may add, -both- basic types
)...which to me at least, alludes to a very bright and powerful future...
Post-CU, commandos' seem like they'll be able to be the anti-armour maniacs of destruction as we wanted to be, and then some.

Yeah, I caught it...but something didn't click until I saw the full list of who's getting and dropping what...
I'm keeping Master Smugg Commie if (oh heck, might as well say when) I come back, just need to think about what to pick up with it...BH for lowering the jedi population on Flurry? Medic for healing? TK for Defenses?
We've just been given a corner of a jigsaw puzzle, until we get the rest to see what they will do for defenses et al... then it's just still imagining and hoping....(not hopping, hoping)....
But I think it will be fun to test all this and to see what our two Correspondents and Testers can give us...

I finally came back down after reading our line to read the rest of the professions...am I seeing this right, we are getting a major bump down in the SP cost, but almost ALL of the other combat professions are getting a slight bump UP in SP costs? Tell me I am seeing this right?

Where is that device coming from? Not his inventory!!! Healing without medicine is magic plain and simple. I don't care if they make a simple device that i have to carry to heal. But Healing without medicine is magic plain and simple. Regardless of the animation, if medicine is not required it is magic.
