Thread: Krayt Flamer Thrower (Results)

Once again yes, 40% slices are possible, just unlikely to ever happen in the case of a flamethrower, much less one assembled with Krayt parts, but 40% is indeed possible.
A 40% weapon slice isn't possible. I'm a slicer, and I've been wandering the smuggler forums since launch, and 40% weapon slices are just stories. Unless of course someone can provide a before/after SS. 40% on armor however is totally doable.
With the Flame thrower, I think getting a speed slice is clutch. Im currently using my regualr FT made by a Master WS with high quality materials (no Kryat though). It has max damage of 840 and a speed slice of 3.1. The FT already does insane damage. With Flame single 2 I hit most humanoids between 6 and 15 K damage which equals 1 shot...1 kill. But at 3.1 Im firing faster than most rifles....

Speed is the key in flamethrowers,,,consideing the dmg multiplier vs the speed multiplyier,,speed out wins
evertime,,i pvp every single day and speed is freakin killer,,npc wise speed is still better...i shoot every 12-
16seconds with my 4.9 1110dmg flamer vs my 3.2 825 dmg flamer is around 5-8 seconds major
improvement.....Id love to get a 2.8 speed flamer,,love to see it in my hands. If you dont think speed is the key
with flamers your a noob,,no offense...

PEOPLE! 35% is THE MAX slice for GUNS. 45% is the max for armor.
i dont care much for dmg sliced FT's i just sell em back to people who want em....
speed is everything for the FT since the specials take forever to cool down...
my FT 833 base 3.5 speed..works GREAT at FT4 becuase of the addition of the speed mobs, faster = more specials at a faster rate. that means u can stack specials on ur enemys faster
. more burn = easy battle
Whose shop did you get this at and where is it located. As a fledgling commando myself I would love to get one of their FTs.
Krayt eans Krayt Tissues, something that Krayt Dragons drop when you kill them. Basically, it's an optional item that can be worked into a flamethrower with the net result of increasing the damage and speed output of the base weapon. You'll need 5 identical ones for a Flamethrower, but I would suggest grabbing more like 10to 15. Have your Smith do multiple tries and hope you end up with 2 or 3 really good base flamers, that way you can get them all sliced and take the best one - decent Krayt Flamers can sell for upwards of 75k, so if you don't want the other ones, feel free to make some cash =)
i've noticed that people with speed sliced flamethrowers take the same amount of time in between specials as my damage sliced flamer. i have a non-krayt flamer with 532-1003 damage and 4.8 speed. every time i use a special, it takes 7 seconds forme to do anything else.
oh, i got a good damage slice to my flamer as well. seems like my weaponsmith makes the same flamers as the original poster.
i've thought about getting some krayt tissues for a new flamer, but it really wouldn't add much to the weapon. what's the point in getting a little more damage out of my gun when i do an insane amount of damage with it anyways?
It is actualy useful ot have a flamethrower of each type...one speed slice and one damage. Get a decent one of each and use them in different situations. I actualy perfer higher damage in PvP instead of faster fire but then...people on Eclipse are running around in 60% + composite armor so getting max damage off that first special can be kind of important. *shrug*
Has any oen actualy tested ot see if there is a difference in speed for specials on flame throwers if the actaul speed of the weapon is altered? I never bothered trying I just assumed it worked but I could be mistaken. Maybe i will og test that now.

I think that Bloodfin must produce the best weapons in the game or something.
Anyways, my FTs.
489-1103, 4.6 speed with no Krayts and a 27% dmg slice.
489-897 , 3.0 speed with no kryats and a 31% speed slice.
There are much better FTs on Bloodfin than mine.
