Been a commando/Pistoleer for almost a year now. Did CU test with the same and managed some time on Bugfin with this template live. So far, and I did not get to test much yet I was hitting /kneel;/aim/ui toolbar 02-rocketlaucher, then /aim;/improvedbodyshot and then if the MOB had any HAM left the pistol shots knocked it out. I was hitting what seemed very often and checked the skill box and it shows the +25 on heavy weapons accuacy that I have in Armor modifiers? I thought they did not work? It is either the armor or having master marksman that helps the accuacy but not sure.
I do a lot of hunting for leather, loot, etc. and the speed on pistols helps when getting arroed by (5) pirates. How are other templates out there?

I have. It seems to be a decent support-oriented profession. (I have a couple other posts scattered around on the template). As long as you pick up something with ranged specials/added defense, you can easily hold your own most of the time. CM has convenient debuffs, and the fire toss stacks with our flamer stuff. The healing is a nice touch, especially if you work the timers right with your other attacks. Overall, it's a decent solo prof if you're careful, and a very nice all-around support template in a group setting.
I have a very similar template to the original poster and I must agree -- I feel like I'm finally home. I had dabbled with command a bit pre-cu because I liked using the launcher pistol for smuggler attacks. Now I'm crazy about all the BFGs. I don't foresee ever giving up smuggler or commando. ever.
