What does this template bring to the table?
1. 2 base take down professions
2. Base assault skills (i.e. rocket launcher)
3. A wide range of different weapon types (for awhile I tried toying with Master Carb/Master BH, but using 1 weapon all the time felt boring).
4. Group mezz abilities
5. Decent self heal and group heal abilities
6. Versatile ranged combat. Flame thrower for up close. Rocket launcher for KDs. Proton Rifle for longer ranged combat, etc.
7. Three chemical dots and 1 flame thrower dot
8. Feign death
9. The ability to buy faction and get faction disounts
10. Full certs in recon and assault armor
11. Slicing
12. Grenades for nice AOE attacks
How does this all play out in combat?
In dueling I very rarely lose. It happens, but more often than not I win.
In PvE I can take on multiple 80-81 creatures without too much difficult. If I get multiple aggros I can flamethrow a concussion shot, rooting my attackers. Back off, heal and go to town. I use my four dots to wear the enenmy down, using my rocket launcher to KD and root them, and depending on range using FT or the proton rifle to finish the job. In a pinch, I can FD, heal up, and go after them again.
In group combat, I tend to use my acid, beam and lighting weapons. Being able to root or KD or snare a whole row of enemy rebels is awesome.
Now the stats on this template arent anything to shout about (averaging 200 defense and only moderate speed/accuracy. However, stats arent everything. In sheer results, this template performs.

After three hours of play, I have found that I am definitely keeping my Master Commando, but dropping the Teras Kasi in favor of Smuggler stuff....this has nothing to do with CU balance, actually....more of a personal choice.
I play strictly GCW (rebel mission terms, base take-downs, etc)...so having the Master Smugg bonuses to faction perk costs is good for me...and I have found that doing Panic Shot with a rocket launcher is quite funny (nothing like watching a Stormie fall on his keester and then stand there for a few secs after he gets up, dazed as can be).
I'll have to look into the Combat Medic arm for those extra points...hadn't thought about that....anyone tried getting some rifleman skills and seeing how their specials worked with our stuff?

Same template. So far I have dealt the most damage and I am able to solo things that few should be able to solo (Conceal+ Improved Conceal Shot+Flamer for the PWN!). So far my Template is Master Commando, Master Rifleman, Master Marksman (yes it does add some skills) and 3000 Medic

I played it on TC, and played it all last night on Naritus. Still awesome ![]()
We engaged a group of Jedi and rocked them. I used my rocket launcher with concussion shot to both root them and KD them, then the rest of the team would mow them down. In tight quarters I would switch to my flamer and vary things with reckless shot, low blow, overpowering shot, etc and a mix of dots ![]()

I've won7/8 duels and killed 2/3 special forces, most of them level 80 or a bit less. Once we get a killer combo template what's going to stop us from killing everyone. Well in close rnage the flamethrowers a beast, however i dare you to try that on a riflemen/pistoleer. Lets see he opens fire from under cover a 65m Down 75% health you finally realize hwere he is and start charging, then comes the root and your stuck till your down to40% health. Now your free then comes the snare right as you get in range you get incapped. The rifleman then says thanks for saving me the walk.
Just cause you have had sucess dont let it make you sloppy in your tactics cause their sre plenty of other combos out there that are poweriful too now.
