Thread: DOT nerf
This is a DOT nerf your right but your overlooking the fact that when a mob is knocked down you can now do 20k damage. This only affects dabblers who use 0 0 4 0 flame and run away. Im a master commando and i rarely miss while standing still 16m away. I hit i would say 90% of the time. In pvp i can do 1800 damage to a person, if hes buffed he will live thru burn now, but he still takes like 50% in wounds. They by no means nerfed the weapon overall just the DOT. Please look at the facts, the only thing we can't do now is flame a krayt to death or a night sister or a ancient rancor(well you can but at 500 a tick at best you do the math, a long long time). But trust me go out with a TKA and try pickets or voritors and watch in horror as you do 17k-20k damage on knocked down targets. How is that a nerf most i could do before was 11k, now its nearly double on knockdowns. Lets stop focusing on the FT and get the Devs to focus on all our worthless trees, HW, AR, and Field Tactics. Not to mention or worthless unarmed tree.

Because a TKA can't attack at range and cannot kite. I have a TKA on the testcentre and when someone runs away if you don't hit with that lunge or something to stop them running you're totally screwed unless you have burst run handy. In the end the commando has alot easier time than a TKA when it comes to hitting the target. Also remember that the flamethrower isn't designed to be used while running around, like all commando weapons it works best when you crouch down and fire while someone else draws the enemies attention. In that situation you'll find the flamer hardly misses at any stage you are in the profession. Commando = ranged support, not front line tanking and kiting.
It wasn't a nerf it was a resists fix.
If the animal resists the dmg why shouldn't it be less.
Also in case u guys didnt notice ur inital dmg went up so u can one hit kill unbuffed ppl.
"This is a DOT nerf your right but your overlooking the fact that when a mob is knocked down you can now do 20k damage."
Also keep in mind resists, armor, and mitigation that severely limit this (especially in PvP where you reduce it by another 75% after the initial mods.)
