If I know the Dev's then this is what they will do. They will have a friday feature, and this Friday feature will be stating that this is the last Friday feature about JTL..........that is until next friday feature.

Nah!

It's not gonna be about Kessel

-Unless they have palns to nerf that too.

It'll be about the neat star ships and how great they are.

(and don't believe Ryubushi when he says it will be about a monsterous tank)

Ugggh...from a hint I just got, looks like we could be seeing JTL Friday Features for awhile...Sounds like there are some seriously cool ones coming out, but I agree that it might be nice to talk about "something else" for a feature or two...

I'm mentioning this so this Friday isn't a huge unexpected disappointment...

I suggested to the Devs that it would be nice to see a CU Friday Feature soon...not sure if it's in the plans, but hopefully they'll see that the JTL themed ones are wearing thin on some of us...

JTL has gotten, I think, the last 8 FF's or so...Maybe more....

I am so damned tired of having JTL forcefed down my **edit**ing throat its not even funny.

**edit** TH and his JTL Friday Features...

"For a while" isn't "soon"...When I hear TH say soon I automatically think "6-8 months".....I am guessing "For a while" means 1 year or more?

I have a feeling that there are many that feel as you do...I pretty much warned TH that your exact feelings are growing amongst the various communities...Haven't heard a response back from him yet on that one...

As for "a while"...I got the clear impression that meant at least through December...It appeared to me that the game plan is to stop the JTL publicity bandwagon early in January...

I've been strongly pushing for something non-JTL to come out just to break the tension...

Garvin,

Personally, i don't think that there is anything that i would learn from any of the JTL FF's no matter how "cool" they are.

I know they intentally mislead you in to thinking that we has seen the last of JTL FF's.

It is time that you remind TH of his promise to us. IT is time for him to fufill that promise.

I don't feel mislead...I just figured that when you make a post that thanks all of the Beta testers, it my mind that's closing the book...guess I was wrong...

And trust me, I remind TH and the rest of the Devs almost daily...I even reminded them today that with the recent "What's Up with Combat Part I & II" they told us their focus is on the Combat Upgrade now...I told them that the credibility of that statement is hard to process when each week you keep seeing JTL Friday Features...Those of us in the CU Forums can witness first hand their focus (which IS there) but it's DEFINITELY NOT fair to all of you on the outside...I feel to do this job well I have to reflect your feelings and mood back to the Devs and I would also be VERY upset with the lack of communication if I didn't have access to the things I do...It's that message I keep taking to them...

I'm not upset right now because I of what I've seen or heard about the Combat Upgrade...on the contrary, I'm VERY excited and optimistic about the Upgrade...I am upset over the lack of Combat Upgrade communication toall of you...I believe all of you have waited long enough...Even if they posted something scary about the CU, I now my community would give me a chance to discuss it with you and put your fears to rest...or you might help me see something I could very well be missing...I WANT to be able to discuss this all with you...AndI want to see you all rewarded for your patience...Your rants and bad feelings are definitely well warrented (that's why I never tell you they are wrong)...I've seen the light at the end of the tunnel, I just wish you all could too...

Garvin-

(stand by for a rant, because its coming)

What I have bolded/italicized in your post is exactly the problem.

All TH has said to us (thru the correspondents) is "after JTL, its CU full speed ahead"...

Since JTL, its been nothing BUT JTL...I KNEW we the powers that be would still be consumed with JTL. Its hard not to, when lag has spiked the way it has, when the numerous CTD's, C++ runtime errors (that strangely, I never got in beta, but its hard not to correlate the two). JTL, like AED, WAS NOT READY FOR LAUNCH. They were told this. They ignored it, like they ignored beta testers for SWG. They will STILL be working out nearly gamebreaking issues with JTL for the next few weeks...If not two months. They cant POSSIBLY pull the entire dev team that build JTL OFF of JTL to work on the combat balance, and relegate JTL to a couple guys/girls. I stand by my prediction that sandboxing wont start until after the first of the year, and the CU in live by April. In fact, I am starting to think it will be May or JUNE before the CU gets live.

I am so **edit**ing tired of JTL!!!!!!!!! I am tired of TH's **edit**ing bull**edit** about the CU.

Its boring after the first 2 days (I got tired of it in beta)...

I am tired of EMPTY PROMISES. OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I am tired of carrots with no filling. I want MEAT, god**edit**.....A big, huge, monstrous, slab of meat. The size of steak that if you finish the whole **edit** thing, your family eats free. The ole 96'er....

The core of this game, ground combat (i.e. - the GCW) is DEAD. Now, I dont PvP much, because its not my primary focus. Maybe it would be if there were a reason to (i.e. - not be a defense stacking meleedot whore)

My main problem, is that the Combat docs are in hand. You guys (corrs) have them. You know what to expect. You have a reason to be encouraged (despite the non-info about a timeline). I learned all about the "its done when its done" mantra from Max Payne...It took them 4 years to make that game after the trailer release. FOUR YEARS. You know what to expect. So, basically, about .025 percent of the player population that is getting anxious (to put it lightly) about the CU knows whats going on...

So what do they (the Devs) do? They take onus, and take it off them, and put it squarely on YOU, the correspondents. So the players kind of ignore the devs for info, and instead the players hammer you for info. And all you can say, when it really comes down to it, is what TH has said for the last YEAR: "Wait for the combat balance"...or "Wait for the combat revamp"...or the now in vogue "Wait for the combat upgrade"....The talking puppet has been taken off TH's hand and put on yours and the 31 other correspondents. So, now, the ire of the players gets directed at YOU.

A mass walkout of correspondents might get their attention. I tried to organize a "cancellation day protest", but it really didnt get anywhere....

I am tired of it, Garvin. Really tired. Its so god**edit** frustrating to see something fail so miserably, that you so desperately want to see it succeed.

What gets me is the communication, or lack thereof...Not just with the devs, but with SOE as whole. I filed a ticket about my account being hacked....That my character was on a different planet than what I logged out on, and 400K jedi xp less than what I had when I left it.....You know what my response was? "Please check the knowledge base for information regarding the new losses for PvE death" and the ticket was closed. **EDIT**ING MORONS!!!! DID YOU EVEN READ THE GOD**EDIT** TICKET?????? Its like the CSR that responded to a Jedi visibility / BH terms issue, and the stupid **edit**er told the player to GET A NEW VIDEO CARD.

I havemastered every combat prof in the game. Multiple times on a few (Commando, Pistoleer, TKM, and Pikeman the most). I know every profession...How it works...What works. What doesnt work. 75 percent of them are BROKEN. Or rather, 75 percent of the 75 percent of the profs specials dont work. Or borked defensive modifiers. Or inconsistent speed and accuracy modifiers. You name it.

Its almost as if they WANT this game to fail, so everyone will go to their goldmine, EQ2...I have played EQ2...IT SUCKS. Its buggy as hell (two major server crashes during primetime in its3 day live existance...natch)

Tomorrow will be another day. Tomorrow will be another JTL FF. Tomorrow is another day that I drop subscriptions to three accounts out of four (already cancelled one).

I will gladly eat crow if its something different than "HELLO PLAYERS!! HERE'S ANOTHER JTL FF FOR YOU!! SIT ON THIS ONE AND SPIN, WILL YA?"....

TH has lost ALL credibility, and at this point, it is impossible for him to ever get it back. How the man posts with his freaking Pinochio nose knocking the monitor off his desk I will never know.

Hmmphmmth! Mmmth. HmmmthmmmMMMMmth!

**Braven hates having mouth ductaped**

**wiggles mouth free and notices the shiney new guillotine blade sparkling in the next room...**

Erm...Hang in there Commandos!

**looks back at the guillotine and takes a deep breath**

I can promise each of you that every Commando sent to the Sandbox is representing every Commando concern quite honorably. I know how frustrating it is to drive at night with no headlights. But together, we've drivin though the midnight hour, and the new dawn seems to be breaking the horizon for us.

Last November, I was expecting some love by December for Commando. Never came. January came and passed. Our Blue Glowie got our HAR issues agknowledgedthough not totally adressed. Fire extinguishers caused an uproar (Guess who found and started that RANT!) and we bonded together even more. Garvin elected to take the reignsfor our Brother LordSec, who needed some personal time off. Combat Balance turned into Combat Revamp. A new Commando Riot. Corresponant summet. Hope. No Info. Frustration. No Info.CombatUpgrade (<---come on make a decision on the name!).More Frustration. JTL is released. NO FREAKING INFO for the Commando Community. FRUSTRATION!

Yes...we as a Community have been through a lot. Yes...it IS a frustrating situation.AND since we've traveled this far together, experianced the same pains and frustrations in our respective galaxies, but yet came together as one of the most intelligent, cohesive, and above all respectable communities...it just makes sense to hang in there for OUR reward.

**looks at the shiney guillotine which has been reciently raised**

Hmmmm...hope that's not for my head! Either way, I am, and always will be your brother. I want those darn docs to be trickled out or something. I hope this post is ok as well!

Hang in there Commandos and

SLAINTE to all of you who have, and will, stick with it!
