Thread: Combat Changes on test
You need to master pistoleer/rifleman/carbineer to get the uber ranged migration along with mastering a melee profession to get the melee migration. That does not leave alot of alot of point to throw intoBH or commando. At least thats how I see it, I could be wrong though.
I am sorta worried about playing the new game. "Dude, wheres my mind bar?"
I'd suggest that this would make doctorstat buffs even more powerful than they are now. Seeing as someone with 700HAM isn't going to be stiming away their special damage it gives the person with 2000HAM an even bigger advantage, the secondary stat doctor buffs are just the icing on the cake.
From what I see so far this is a good change.
The damage mitigation does not stack between classes. (ranged with ranged) there are 3 levels. Multi classes can still get both ranged and melee.
The 2.5 melee modifier is gone.
We now have the same HAM restraints as everyone else. (actually they now have our restraint.)
Mastering professions is now worth it in more classes. (mitigation 3)
the conceal nerf was coming. The shot was too powerful in PvE, and let any rifleman solo almost anything in the game at minimum risk. (it just took a while) This one is not unexpected, and this is a relatively good way to do it. It could have been much worse.
SO FAR, we seem to get more than we lose, alot more. This is basically a special attack limitation that actually makes it BETTER for riflemen. The new system will regenerate our special ability much faster than before, while preventing other classes from stiming and spamming. We are still open to damage from melee classes, but not as much so as before. (we take 100% damage, not 250%)

I'm gonna say it again. Ranged + Melee = The New uber PvP class. The BHs and Commandoes have been officially nerfed.
Agreed to a cetain extent, unless this is a move towards getting the elite professions fixed up then doing BH + Commando. Also an elite + doctor combo should be even better after these changes.
However I still think people underestimate asmart BH. (The ones who don't use eyeshot on someone wearinga composite helmet with 1.5k mind and 700 health....)
Well as much as I do think the human thing is a bug I don't see what the big change is. It has simply gone from zabrak being the bestrace to human, mind is always the limiting factor and zabrak had / will have the biggest advantage there (Unless you want to be a fishy). Add in the bonus defences and the special thingy whichbalances their pools and you have the bestrace in the game by a fair margin.
The only exception is if for some reason you want Imperial pets, which lets face it arn't going to be much use soon.
It's kind of funnyseeing some Zabraks complaining about humans being the best race when they enjoyed the exact same advantage before this bug. IMO the races need a rebalance.
Before anyone gets all defensive this isn't aimed at anyone in particular just some general thoughts.
But still, I agree with you, I don't care at all if Zabrak is better for Rifleman or Human or Twilek. My only issue is that with the old system, Zabrak were not good enough to play without buffs or drugs. Humans were. All I want is a DEFINITE answere wether it will stay that way or not. If it does, I can make the decision whether I want to grind through rifleman again just to get those high stats or not.
I'm not complaining about Humans being better. I'm complaining about the fact that noone really know if they STAY better or NOT.
