Listen you can do a lot of damage to a Jedi the only problem is its very difficult to mitigate incoming damage while holding an FT. As we don't have an active defense such as dodge , block or counterattack we take nearly every hit they throw. I actually duel Jedi in my guild quite often and get more dangerous with each duel.

here's my build:

Master Commando

0/0/4/0 Pistoleer

0/3/0/0 TKA

4/2/0/0 Medic

0/2/1/0 melee vehicle control in the FS

I use my 3.4 speed min (600s can't remember exact number) 1200 max dmg FT. If I land FS2 on them it will pop them for overhalf there life bar.I usually use aircake to give my self some active defense and take some citros Snowcake for accuracy, oh and use synsteak or wookie cookies pending how much prep time i have. I find I can hurt them but can't beat them with out a lot of luck. So one on one it would be very difficult to truly stand a chance however, if you have a tank on him itthe FT can be devastating to a Jedi and completetly unexpected. Now when you are in group PvP a cpl things need to keep in mind. One don't use a commando tag otherwise you'll be target #1. Two if the Jedi is using the dbl sided saber (which most do) allow him to target someone else and hit him from behind. they like to use area attacks but the dbl bladed area attack is a cone effect so if you are behind him it won't hit you (the one handed has a full area so you'll get hit if they use it). Then I just spam FS2. You can use the flame stacking technique however this requires a lot of time. It onlty takes one hit and I promise that jedi will have lightning feet atleast until he realizes what happened.

Using grenades against a Jedi. there's an art to it and it requires everything being in the right place. If you are attacking a group of PCs and you have two of the group right next to each witrhing in your grenade radius aim and throw it at the one you don't want to hit and it will most of the time hit the guy standing next to him. It actually can be quite effective however the circumstance is so quick and fluid in PvP it is not that often you will get a chance like that.

you can be somewhat effective in PvP with commando if you know how to use your group and your strengths. Unfortunately once that Jedi or really anyone else turns there attention to you, you are going down awfully quick unless you have another proffession to switch off to such as TKA. Don't know if that will be of any help but there it is.

As you said, "if you hit em."

I've never used a RL or our other Heavy Consumeables against Jedi. Does Saberblock work on these also? I'm guessing it does.

Unfortunately ranged = blocked. Grenades are not blockable, neither are droids. Use both, at great risk to oneself. RL's make interesting "Head's Up" wake up calls though. Lucky shots are worth it.

I tried jedi hunting myself waaaay back when, must say it was interesting.

Mcommando

BH 3/0/0/4

Novice Medic

Didn't get any kills, but man, I got some interesting stories to tell about it. Tried rockets on one padawan around 120k. Result:

800pts mind

I was a bit shocked as the damage, since the max on the things was 4k and the things are "heavy armour piercing". you think a heavy shot would tear anunarmouredpersonto pieces, but instead her lightsabre did that to me =P Kited her a bit but got saberthrown/saberblocked no flamer hits connected to cause noticable damage.

Another time:

Stalked a jedi to some shops outside of New Dublin. He went in one, I kneeled down and proceeded to lob nades and rockets at him. None of them connected and he dashed into a safehouse. I stood pondering what to do when I saw about 8 red dots closing in on all sides. /burstrun tried to save my hide but couldn't pull my speeder =P Ran for about half a kilometer before I was nailed by a saberthrow and some rifle blasts.

Last hunt before abandoning BH:

Stalked a guy for two hours. My spy did a fine job of telling me he was unbuffed and unarmoured in a city hall having a meeting with his chums. I was gonna rush in and blast him in front of his comrades for a bit of a rambo moment, but they get buffed before I had choked down all my booze/foods/drugs. They went into a cantina for a mindbuff so I decided for a kamikaze rush and got a good /flamesingle2 on the jedi... unfortunately it wasn't mind =P 1200 action damage. Then, of all people, a desperado came out and eyeshotted me to death with his geo blaster =P

Hate tells ensued after each of these, but I really, really wonder how well commandos do vs. jedi. If you had a support man, you probably could easily knock a jedi off if they were tied up. Needless to say I'm TKM/MCommando now, but those were the days.

Hell, I might redo BH just for the LLC, I love those guns.

Dont do bh/commando, I have done it and I must say you will lose 99% of the time, I would rather go bh/creature handler Hahaha

BH commando is the worst, I'm one right now. I'm 3444 bh and 0320 commando. this is the worst template to hunt jedi. do not, do not waste your time on it. your rockets blocked, grenades, you have to stop to throw. if you want a ranged bh take up pistols or Carbine. If you want to solo jedi go Bh 3030 CM 4004 and use the few skill points you have left in pistoleer, eye shot and mind posion with a good scatter and weap attachment.

There are those with loaded guns and those who dig. You, my friend dig.

I haven't really hunted Jedi that much mainly becuase I don't have the investigation, but I have been in combat with a lot of them on Corbantis. One padawan made the mistake of being in combat when I was around and I landed a solid FS2 on him. He force ran away and I burst ran after him pounding him with the normal fire. My friends were on their bikes so they went to cut him off. I stopped at one building due to being tired and I get jumped by a red dot that appeared out of nowhere. Some jedi knight with a DBL just popped up and ganked me. I got like one shot off and then I was dead.

Now I am messing around with the dodge modifiers to see how well they do. My template will look like this when I am practically done.

Master Commando
4000 Pistoleer
0040 Fencer

That will give me a +155 dodge in the current system, of course, don't know if that will help me any seeing as us commandos are just trouble magnets.
