Also, there's some problems with the whole "Mandalorian" thing. You might be able to pull some "elite warrior" thing, but not Mandalorians.

Thing is, you can't just *become* a Mandalorian anymore than you can become Japanese. They're a group of people that share a common heritage and culture, descended from the original ones that lived on Mandalore and its colonies and such. To be a Mandalorian, your parents have to have been Mandalorians.

They're also supposed to be almost as rare as jedi. But probably one of the most important points is (unless I'm greatly mistaken), Mandalorians are human. There simply is no such thing as a Rodian or Bothan Mandalorian, because they're a completely different species, and you can't offer a super elite combat profession to a single species, regardless of how common it is.

Guess what Jango's parents werent Mandalorian. So thats the end of that argument

Maybe I'm odd, but I don't really like this idea. I see why you're coming up with it, to stem the number of jedis, but I don't know that its a good idea to just have another "super" class to make everyone else inferior.

Yeah your right, and for the most part I think everyone agree's with you. But all this could be, is training in the Mandolorian combat arts. Not necessarily becoming one.

Once again, Jango's parents werent Mandalorian, and that is the key to your argument that you cant just BECOME Mandalorian, so that argument doesnt hold.

Ok, I'm certainly not the expert, but I'm still pretty sure its not so simple to become part of a nearly extinct culture. Enlighten us then. How did Jango become Mandalorian?

Jango Fett was orphaned at an early age, the son of simple Concord Dawn farmers killed by brutal marauders. At the age of ten, he was picked up by Journeyman Protector Jaster Mereel, who introduced Fett to a harsh world of mercenary life. He was raised among great warriors, learning to survive in the rugged frontiers. Though the Mandalorian supercommandos were wiped out by the Jedi Knights, Jango was one of the few left to still wear the armor.

To address it not being easy, no it wouldnt by any means be easy to become a Mandalorian. My point is its not an IMPOSSIBLILTY dictated by them being a certain race. Do you think it would be easy to become a jedi at a time when the order has been destroyed? No, it takes searching, holocron knowledge. To become a Mandalorian at a time when there were none to train you would be similar. Quests to unlock hidden tablets and scrolls to train you, it should be hard, but possible.

Hard but not possible...heh

How about this:

To unlock the Supercommando profession tree, you must first complete a full suit of Mandalorian (be a part of a the group) Armour...ALL ONE COLOR, and wear it! That means no wussy Mandalorian wanna-be prancing around in a clown suit.

Note...must complete....that means you can't trade for any pieces!

Half-serious...but I can actually imagine the devs doing something like this (I shouldnt give them any ideas tho...heh)...

I'm pretty sure Boba and Jango weren't true mandolorians, Jango just came across a set of armor. The mandolorian Wars took place something like 3000 years before ANH and they're mostly extinct by the time ANH rolls around.
