Thread: The Bandwagoner Situation- Please Read
Won't train anyone in commando skills? Wow, can you even see us from all the way up there on your high horse? God forbid should you be nice to your fellow players. But hey, if the scorn and contempt of your fellow man is what you're angling for, go nuts. You're off to a great start.
Seriously. The whole "bandwagoner" argument makes me sick to my stomach. It reminds me of all those goons you see at concerts uttering the mating cry of the indie elite: "I liked them before they sold out. Their first album was better!"

Huh. Hadn't even drawn the comparison. You got a point though. A snob is a snob. Only diffrence is what they are being snobbish about. I got to say though. i just hate thoughs "indie elite" pukes at concerts. What is with those dudes?!?! (little off topic there

I just wanted to tell something else. I also wanted to play commando from the start on. You can ask this at my PA, but when I heard it was so broke I didn't want to play it. So I started another profession and when commando was fixed I would go that way. Right now it is fixed, so I go commando now. I think alot of the people who play are novice commando right now wanted to play it all along, but the profession was so broke they didn't started it. They waited untill it was fixed.
I think people who where commando's from the start have to life with the fact that now the profession is fixed alot of peoplego for commando. This is because it is the coolest profession in the game that looks FANTASTIC.

I'm tired of hearing people call other people "banwagoners". People pay just like everyone else. LET THEM PLAY WHAT THEY WANT! Besides, there is a set amount of professions and if we didn't persue a profession becasue someone already had it, it would be an awfully empty galaxy.
My edvice stop being elitist, thinking your special, uber, or whatever else you want to consider yourself and just have fun and let the other "banwagoners" have fun.
I've had Novice Commando for quite a while, I didn't really do anything with it until we got the patch that made Launcher Pistols grant HW XP. I concentrated on Rifleman until then. Now I'm lvling Commando exclusively, but does this make me better then any other player? Am I paying more (well actually I am along with most other Europeans but that's another story)then everyone else so I get some god-given right to make my char better?
I don't care what profession most people are just as long as there's Medics, Crafters and Entertainers to help me out.
You people should get off your high horse and realise that virtually everyone wants to be the best out there. Just cos they tried something else and waited until Commando was good to try it doesn't make them deserve less respect. I think you people liked being the rare useless class we used to be cos it made you feel special. I wouldn't choose to go around changing my profession to whatever is flavour of the month, cos I wannabe a Commando and always have. Just cos other people do it don't give them a hard time, they've paid for this game just like everyone else, so they can do what they want with it provided they don't break the "Terms of use".
This will probably make me unpopular with alot of Die-Hard Commando's, so be it, you guys have Ego's to big for my liking anyway.
Oh and please if you have only recently become a Commando, don't feel the need to Defend and Justify yourself to these idiots, just go to ctrl-P and make use of your ignore list.
If anyone on Ahazi needs help with anything Commando then send me a /t or email.
I don't really understand what the big deal is about bandwagoneers. I went for BH from the first day of launch, had to pay for all my marksman skills and 90% of my scout skills and over half of my BH skills. Then one day BAM there were novices everywhere, and if you asked anybody sitting in a camp if they were working on BH the answer was always yes. Did this make me mad? NO! The more people that need the kinda EQ your class needs the lower the prices go. It's easy to make friends because everyone's sending you tells, and everyone's asking you for tips so you feel like the big dog.
About three weeks ago I got tired of playing a BH and decided that I either wanted to go Commando or a melee class...I didn't want to give up ALL my points so I decided to put my Radiant character on the shelf until Commando was fixed and made a character on Flurry and he's halfway up the Heavy Swordsman tree...now that Commando is fixed i've come back to my Radiant character. I've already got the master marksman and just finished getting the unarmed lvls so all I needs is about another 15k combat XP. After reading this post I kinda worry about taking crap from other Commandos...
It kinda sucks that I'm going to be labeled a bandwagoner, even though I've only been working on Commando off and on for about 3 weeks now (gah grinding unarmed without vk's makes me sleepy)...The truth is I wanted to create a new character and hadn't seen a lot of commandos around so I figured I'd go for that profession. I came to the boards and saw that there were a ton of problems but didn't really care all that much, I thought launcher pistols made pretty explosions 
Anyway then I found out about the patch and the increase in damaged and thought to myself "Alright BONUS"
Whoever made the "sellout" music reference was dead on. Now I feel like one of those guys who didn't really hear of the band until right before they became huge and has to defend himself against being called a trendwhore. Then again this might be my payback for ripping on all the mesh hat wearing mallrockers with their teenypunk but whatever.
Wolfigon, who knows, and who really cares. The people who use the term "Bandwagoner" are those elite idiots that wont be gracious to there fellow commandos, as many have already stated.
im a commando now for a long time ... (the time when LP still gave pistol exp)
but i did not grind exp at the time we where broken means i got not a single skill untill they finally fixed us a few days ago
to all thouse that grinden there way while we were broken .. i can just tell you that you have my depest respect .. but sounds like you had a long time having no fun with the grind ...
what did you get for it ?
for me im having a lot of fun nowwith getting exp
