Thread: Any one gone Commando/Creature Handler?
I am using MCH and Commando combo andit'sgreat combo for PvE.
Before I take Commando, I was a rifleman with 2,1,1,2 skills. I was just not doing enough damage and my pet always get hurt a lot.
Then I decided to switch to Commando, it rocks. I can switch between launcher pistol and flamethrower. DoT mob first, then burn it. It's a great combo and really powerful.
One thing you have to notice tho, you might not have enough skill points to become a Master commando, because you need 2 full skill lines in scout, 4 lines in MM, 1 line in brawler, and 4 lines in CH(if you want to be MCH), and some other skills, like medic...
Well, anyway, it's a great combo, you will love it.
I was a CH fora bit, I dropped it cause I dont think i should need a pet to deal with stuff. nothing against anyone who's a CH, its a personal choice, I'd rather fight my own fights/have a probot.
Right now I'm Master Commando. Smuggler 0010 novice pistoleer, medic 2222, and scout 3010
If its too dangerous to light on fire, this lets me hit it with health shot2 and health shot1 then feign death. And yes, by doing this with a full set of composite armor, you can take down a Krayt Dragon... solo...
Eventually I'll drop the smuggler pistoleer and medic to get some TK, but until that time, my template is functional and useful, and with uber stim b's I can heal almost 900 dmg a shot... good for any CH's I'm with, and god knows how many times I've dragged incap group members out of dangerous places and stodd them back up.
Be able to solo Krayt Dragon is cool. I should try that sometimes.
Btw, how does feign death work? just like the one in EQ?
Wow and I thought I was the only one.
Im probally going to end with Master Commando, CH @ 1/1/0/0 and Medic @ 0/0/0/2. This leaves me with one point left over if I did my math correctly.
For Creatures you can tank with a greater sludge panther and for npcs or players with weapons, you can use a Grand Wrix.
I actually used a cowardly gureck to tank a At St yesterday. It held long enough to set the big chicken on fire then dropped. Its a pet that I plan to dump soon anyway so...![]()
Im Comm 0,4,4,0 and CH 3,3,0,4 With Nov Rifle (out of sentiment) and nov medic. 2 skill points are avail and Im trying to learn if I can call and tame a gnarled rancor with Taming 4 in the CH line. If i cant then theres little reason to get it and Ill finish with CH 3.4.0.4 That'll give me ten stored pets and the ability to call out two creatures with total CL of 50.I have two maulers now I just tamed and are growin. Hate how they are almost the ONLY choice but I dont really do PvP and nothin beats a mauler for mob bashin.
If someday more of Commando becomes useful I'd gladly surrender much of CH to pick up the commando skills.

Myself, I do plan to be a Master Commando and a 3/4/00 CH.
Mostly the reason for the 3/4/0/0 is because honestly it makes hunting a heck of a lot easier when going after big game. But the reason why not to go 4/4 is because with Taming 4, you could call level 45? pets I believe, however with Training 4 you can only call level 40 pets. I think that's the right numbers. I know that level 4 training is 5 pts less than Taming 4, so I could tame a higher pet, but when it fully developed, I couldn't call it till I became a Master CH. So those that went 4/4/0/0 just drop that extra Taming box and use those 2 skill points where it might help more, if you want. You aren't getting any real extra benefit I don't believe.
