I agree that there should be a way to put out the fire, but I don't think it should be a medical skill. Medics are not firefighters.

The question is who should be able to do it...I was thinking Bio-Engineers could learn how to make fire eqtinguishers? hmmmm...

I tried to get rebel commandos to follow me to one of the few oasis on Tatoine before they would start to flame me but sadly enough, none has accepted yet.

I wonder why....

As a Master Commando, I would promote a command similiar to "Stop, Drop, and Roll" command, like in real life. What this command does is you go prone, and can do no other action while 'rolling' but it will get the fire out over time. As for extinguishers, that would be cool too but shouldn't be medic only. Not that hard to spray yourself with an extinguisher, just have it take some time to use. DOT fire shouldn't have an easy cure, but should have one better then water. These two options I think are the fairest since they make you have to stop from the action to stop the fire, and therefore are vulnerable if you do this in the middle of a fight.

Just a note from a Master Doctor. First Aid is a pain in the butt. It takes, on average, at least 3-4 applications of First Aid to stop a small bleed. Numerous times, its been up to 8-9 applications to stop a bleed. 9 applications by a master doctor (the best person at healing that there is) is rediculous. Since each application costs mind, it is actuallybetter to let the person bleed and thenheal them with stimpacks, almost 90% of the timeit would cost lessmind HAM (barring a mind bleed, which sucks either way).

Much as I dispise the flame DoT, I am hopeful that the revenge TEF fix will solve most of the problems. While one flame is dibilitating and annoying in the extreme, at least the commando cannot then come after you for a free DB while you are around 100 health due to the massive wounds. However, there has to be a method for countering any DoT type effect anywhere. Medics for bleeds (even though First Aid is pretty much the worst skill ever), Doctors for poisons/diseases (even though a CM can toss a poison/disease for about a third of the mind cost that it's going to take the doctor to heal it, let alone AE poisons; the bottom line is that the person being healed is probably going to be incaped before a master doctor can stop the poison/disease), and something other than water (how lame is that anyway?) for fire.
