Romana, you just said you're not being rewarded for spending all those skill points on Commando.

That is the biggest crock of southern-fried BULL that I've ever heard. You guys own so much ASS in pvp it's rediculous, and you've got the gall to bitch like you are oversomething that's consistent with the other combat professions??

I hate to say it, Inoch, but I don't think pve is what the devs were thinking about when they implemented this hit.

Some of you might argue they weren't thinking at all, but that's neither here nor there ~J

i'm kinda sick of people saying this class owns pvp, or this class is aweful at pvp... honestly, it comes down to the players fighting... i have been killed by master marksman that knew what they were doing, i've killed master BHs that didnt know what they were doing. PvP is just to biased to make fair assumptions which to base a class on. Stick to teh PvE arguements, where the numbers and data are more valid. now that being said...

here are my thoughts on teh multiplier. Riflemen need to aim there gun to be accurate. no one runs around holding the t21 like a pistol. Rifles have big kick back, and need steady aim, thats why in a melee fight they will get the crap kicked out of them, thus the 2.5 multiplier. A pistoleer has one free hand, and alot more mobility, cause they dont need to brace a pistol to aim, thus they can defend better against melee, 1.5x multiplier. Now the Flamethrower in my mind is much more of a carbine than a rifle or pistol. Its far bigger than a pistol, but you dont need to aim and brace it like a rifle. Its a weapon to use on the move, there for a carbine. So i think we should have a melee penelty, but make it 2.0. Also keep the FT specials within 16m, but tweak the range mods. Far=horrible aim, Mid=alright aim, Close=great aim. I mean you dont really have to aim with a flamethower, its not a percise weapon, you should hit anything within 10m.

Omegaplex let me state clearly.... I don't give a rats ass about PvP. SWG has just about the worst PvP system I've ever encountered..... I played text based muds 10 years ago that kicked SWGs ass in terms of PvP.

I play this game for PvE. I explore, I quest.... that's my focus. My toon is currently nearly useless for this goal.

Frankly, this game would be infinitely improved if they removed PvP from it entirely.... then at least we wouldn't have all these nonsense nerfs from people who want everything balanced from a PvP perspective.

Romano.. I don't really see that post proving your point. "Having an edge" is not the same thing as being superior to all others. You do have an edge as you deal more damage than anyone else both close up and at a distance.

And yes, Commando still needs tweaking to make more weapons than the Flamer usefull. But once they are you will be more versatile than the elite marksman professions.
