Did anyone notice that most Professions are just being made playable right now.
If you HAD listened to the discussion around the devs then you'd know the basic plan going is that they are using Rifle and TKA as the guinea pigs to fix the overall range and melee problems.
Once they are leveled then the other classes will be brought up to match them. Unless you want to stay where you are I'd suggest not comparing TKA to the others. I'm assuming they are nearly done with usin this next patch.

For anyone wondering Defensive Acuity as defined via the TC description is "This modifier improves your chances to react to a successful hit with a dodge, counterattack or block"
i think it is BS that TKA is going to be even faster and do even more damage per hit than before
even iffencers did the same dmg they woul do more dps because theyare faster
if we were the same speed they would do more dps because they have +250 dmg with out a weapon!
our best weapon for damage only has like 215 max dmg before slice but the speed is 3.5 where as theirs isat the speed cap and then they also get to equip a weapon that is as good as our vibro blade except they get 250 damage addad to it! BS! i think they should do lessdamage per hit and attack slower (or same speed) than a fencer (they should still be faster than 2 handed sword though) why? becuase they can target any HAM pool they want. that is a huge advantage in itself i always see pvpers running around with one of their HAM bars at like 400 and its usually not health, which is the only thing that fencers can target. just plain stupid IMHO.
TKAs don't have bleed... I'm hunting with a friend in my PA who, if I understood well, as a fencer, can stack 2 different bleeds... We compared our values on a melee fight vs a high HAM mob, and it seems she was doing more dmg than me in the long run...
Why do TKAs get to be so much better? I want a meditation line, KD, damage increases, etc. as well!

As a TKA, I started to do the other melee professions in the brawler tree to test master brawler... Please also compare with the damage output of the weapons you guys have... I was quite pleased in fact to use polearms that would have more than 400 max dmg
! or fast Fencer weapons with like over 250 or more (don't remember).
Also please include the fact that a faster speed also means a faster reduction in HAM due do specials... (when you use them a lot that is !)
That said, I still think TKAs are a bit better right now than other brawling professions, but not as much as all this post suggests. A lot of TKAs in the TKA forum wish to have you guys on par with us, not only to avoid getting nerfed, but also to have fun teaming with you guys because diversity is nice
! And yes, my feeling is that, since the start we're beginning to see a better solidarity between brawlers...

We appreciate everyone's support. I (at least from my standpoint) think this post was more of a informative for everyone rather than "they are so much more powerful, *whine* *whine*" post. All melee are the underdogs of SWG and its supposed to be that way, but we should all be at least viable classes. How the numbers stack up, now and in the future, and its a concise way to see how each compares with the others as far as pure stats go.
Keep up the good discussion though.

Although of course, I haven't put in pikemen yet. Bad me. I may do that right now if I don't get bogged down by real work.

Eh...I guess it's ok, the devs forget to put us in the patch notes, too. /shrug.

I don't have the full pikemen tree in yet though.
The -20 mod you have to TKA knockdown doesn't seem right. My TKA is getting +20 defense vs. knockdown in the expert balance conditioning box.
