Heres the thing. SOE owns the coding software for the platform, so there can NEVER be a split between the two. lucasarts could just as much take over this game as they could everquest. SOE does have a licensing agreement with lucasarts, though, and if lucasarts were to split, it would probably mean the end of SWG. They wouldnt do that right after a release like JTL, because they stand to make alot of money from it.

if anything could ever possibly happen, it would be that Lucasarts could ask for more creative control from SOE, and start making improvements.

the other posibility is that Lucas takes his oodles of cash and BUYS the SOE company out from under sony. after you calculate the odds of that happening and laugh, consider what that would do to gaming all over the world.

it certainly gives pause for thought.
