Yep...great post..and I agree with all the points.....but the short answer from the Devs will be....
"Yeah....buuut.......LOOK WE HAVE CAPITOL SHIPS, SOON TO BE IN-GAME, DID YOU HEAR, CAPITOL SHIPS!!!!"

- forget to add in special components for the ships so they are as vulnerable as an A-Wing

Another excellent cry from the Back Row, StarNick. Too bad that mass of Jedi in all the front rows, Bounty Hunters and smugglers in the middle rows, are just drowning you out. ![]()
AoE of 1 or 0 splash damage cannot possibly be "working as intended" unless "intended" is to get a commando incapped/killed on his/her first shot with a weapon when the entire lair targets the guy with the LBC. Actually, I've used this like the Rescue (Ranger) command might work, except on multiple critters instead of single NPCs. If a friend is surrounded and getting pummelled, one shot from a LBC gets everything running my way. At which point, Burst Run is my Friend.
what i wouldnt give for one weapon with armor piercing.
commandos are commandos because we can take a bad thing and make it better. some of us have survived since the game's inception and made do even with nerf after nerf. many people, like myself, retain commando as the only elite profession they have never dropped because it is a cause worth fighting for. This is something that people can get behind- these causes give the commando profession focus and definition. half of being a commando isnt even in the game. it's here, on the forums, raising your voice to deaf ears.
half of being a commando is being a part of this community right here.
the other half is hoping for that forgotten patch to hit that will bring us to a new era of commando goodness.

Fine, then make the damage output on the AOE lower than the regular attack, maybe 50% or something, 0 or 1 is TOO LOW to work, aside from generating aggro.
