I agree 100%.

I haven't been on these boards long, but for the time I've been here, I haven't seen anyone else as dedicated to the commando community as Garvin. He should definately take the reigns at least until LordS is better.

Thanks for all the support...I've been kind of sitting back waiting to see where this goes...Personally I'd love the position as Correspondent, but I'm sure there are other's out there who would love it too...So I'm not sure how TH wants to approach this, whether opening it up again for apps or what...I take it as a real compliment that many of you have such faith in me...

And to be honest...LordS's fiance sent me a special PM which I won't go into to many details about, but I did let her know that if I took the spot, I'd be willing to step down when LordS comes back if that's what he desires and thinks is best for our community...I know I'd have some pretty big shoes to fill and any new Correspondent would only be carrying on the work he began...

One thing I do know is that it is unfortunate to lose LordS at all, especially at this time during the Combat Balance when information is so slim...Whether it's me or someone else, I think we do need to see a new Correspondent, even a temporary one, come into the postion soon...

True, but wanting to fill in isn't necessarily the same at being good at it. Although there is an excellent and supportive community behind the correspondent.

I may not post to much, but I do lurk around quite a bit posting my thoughts where I feel the need to. Having been reading this forum since getting my account I agree 110% that Garvin seems to be the best choice. I hope the devs get this done ASAP, by the tonight would be best.

Garvin would make an excellent stand in during LordS' absence.

Personally I feel there should be someone around to fill in for LordS during his unexpected absence.

And really there should be at least two per profession anyway, one primary that performs all the duties. And one that can step in on a temporary or possibly permenent basis in case the regular corospondant is unavailable for a period of time because of real life obligations.

But with something like this is would bemore time saving to have some already to stepinto the positionfor these type of situations.

I've not seen anyone who has more calm, reasonable responses and the know-how to do the job than Garvin. So he'd get my vote.

Since the general concensus, including that of Garvin, is that the chosen one would be a 'stand-in' rather than a replacement, amybe that could be seen as grounds for not bothering with the usual drawn-out application process (hint hint TH )

I've only recently started using the Commando boards, but for the relevant community to back someone so strongly is enough for me want it.

"You will forget my evil plot...Garvin will be the Commando Emper...errr...Correspondent...Everything is good...move along..."

To be serious...I'd love to be the new Correspondent...wanted to be the Commando Correspondent before LordS came into the position...But I respect LordS and would step down no questions asked when LordS comes back if he still wants the postion...

The funny thing is...TH has the power to make me or anyone else the Temporary Correspondent...Jar Jar in the last movie voted on behalf of Naboo to help Palpatine achieve more Political power...So in this case...would TH = Jar Jar...LOL...Sorry TH...Mesa Kidding...
