Thread: Offical Word on the DoT Stick Change...

Ran a few tests this weekend....so far, out of 17 flamesingle2 specials that connected with the traget, the didn't stick 5 times on the first shot...of those 5 times the DoT didn't stick, all 5 saw the DoT stick on the very next special...

This is supposedly prior to Kel's change...I'll run the same tests again after the change to see how much change there is...

Even with this change, I really saw no difference in my abilities against mid-range NPC's...I'm sure it will be more noticable against higher level NPCs (where the heat resists are higher especially)...

So the question becomes...is the change to our DoT worth the change to everyone else's DoT, ESPECIALLY Poison and Disease...Personally, I think the good outweighs the bad for us...If we push for this to be reversed currently, that means the recent change to CMs (making it so their disease and poison doesn't stick every time) will be undone...

we keep taking one tiny little nerf after tiny little nerf now we got nothing

i am so disapointed what a waste

This is definitely getting ridiculous. Its not like we are possing huge threats to anyone with our flamethrowers in PvP as things are now. With fireblankets, dodge templates, and some fire resistance foods, the damage even now in PvP is almost nothing on a buffed player. I shutter to think what it will be like after this change.

what about pvp? please dont do a commando vs commando test. there shouldnt be another nerf to our dot bottom line they cant change other dots without screwing us? what next some nerf to rifleman that we'll have to suffer also. this is getting really old. btw its only the cm dots on the mind that are killer with weapon delay pikeman are feared much less.

Yeah I was really starting to worry for our enemies, I mean how could we be so cruel to even wound them. I feel so warm and fuzzy knowing that in the future we'll be able to be glorified freak show streetlamps at Theed.

whew. good thing they're reigning in our fire DoTs, (albeit slightly less). I was starting to get so cocky with my one occasionally useful special.

Now when I'm in the genosian bunker, not only will the monsters resist 95% of flameshot (but only 45% any other damage type) but now I don't have to suffer the concilatory DoT damage. Now if they'd only slow down my consumable rate of fire, we'd be ready to have some REAL FUN.

Wow. I mean wow. Talk about adding insult toinjury or what ever. What the hell is going on. Im getting so sick of this crap. Like a month ago I was thinking to my self that at least we cant get any worse. I realy thought we were at the bottom of the cliff waiting to get rescued. But needless to say they have done it again. They are nerfing the one thing i have found usefull again . If my dots realy start to miss I hope I at least see a message like YOur Dot was resisted or somewthing so I know to reapply. Other wise this bites. THe one thing I actualy used will be shot to hell.

Do they realy hate us that much.

I swear to god please have them stop breaking crap even more untill the CR this is pissin me off.

There's no message on a missed DoT, so if you get a flameSingle2 to stick you won't be able to tell if the flameCone2 stuck or not. Suuuck.

I'd like to advise you to wait until you've actually experienced this change before basing your decission on the "idea and impressions" of the change...

I'm not sure how many other's have tested it on TC, but I've had no problem fighting every single target I fought before it and winning just the same...

I get the impression that folks feel like jumping ship because we've sprung another leak (this one being smaller then the others)...we haven't sunk yet...and this leak isn't going to impact us as heavily as I get the impression people think....

Agreed. I haven't tested it a huge amount, but so far in PvE the lesser stick rate hasn't really affected me.

I would have to agree with those who thinks this...well stinks. I understand the reason to nerf some of the dot's in the game, but we've aready been knocked back to almost nothing. This change is meaking us even weaker than we are. You can't deny it, however it seems to you on test center. In accepting all these little nerfs with little comment, we've in essence agreed to a huge nerf overall. We're not even close to what we should be, but we're moving backwards here...

Now wait... when iwas a scout.. i used to know if my trap didn't do anything to the animal... but as a commando I won't know if my fire DoT from Flamesingle2stuck so that I can use Flamecone2... hmmmm ohhh LOL LOL LOL i get it.. it's just a joke hahha yeah you got me.. good one. Don't worry guys they're just joking.. I mean.. nerf us and then don't tell us when we don't stick (something we have to worry about only because of the nerf in the first place).. it has to be a joke.
