Yea right. I have screen shots of a Krayt hitting me for over 4k damage (http://members.cox.net/darthshag/screenShot0007.jpg). I don't think you're gonna survive being hit once by a real Krayt even with Feign Death.

If you get some good Master Doctor Buffs you can survive a couple hits form a kryat because of the damage reduction from the secondary stats and wearing armor would also help. Graul Maulers make for good tanks against them do to the fact that they do blast damage I think. The Kryat Graveyard is on Tatooine against the edge of the map East Norh East of mos Taika(sp0).

A graul mauler can tank a juevinile if you do enough damage. A graul mauler gets destroyed easily by a canyon krayt dragon and i don't even want to think about how long a graul mauler would last against a giant canyon krayt dragon.

With GOOD healing, you may be able to use a graul mauler against the stronger krayts but this is extremely dangerous. Krayts love to retarget close players so i hope you are a combat medic because if you try to get within 6m, you are likely to be incapped. Giants are even more problematic because they seem to have an aoe knockdown attack. They also do more damage to your pet because they knock it down.

Uh.. I was in a group once that only had 3 Graul Maulers and we faught Giant Krayt's without to much of a problem. A tip, if cost really isn't an issue when fighting these things, use your HPBC's. I picked up a bunch for 1800 each a few days ago, got them sliced and was hitting the Krayt for a little under 2k damage per hit. That's modified damage mind you.

With a Graul Mauler you can solo pretty much anything... just make absolutely **edit** sure to stack Flame 1 and 2, and accept the fact that you will NEED a whole metric crapload of high-test PetStimpacks.

good luck not being incapped by a giant canyon krayt when you walk right up to it to heal your graul mauler.

Fwiw, I have a light lightning cannon made with 5 krayt +30 tissues, with similar slices it does about 20% more dps, I forget the exact stats, something like 3.9 510-965. I presume another heavy weapon would be about the same.

The only way I can think to solo them without an atst is to get buffed, get a graul mauler, send the mauler in, dash in, throw on ft2 bleed, ft1 bleed, then get the action bleeds in and hope to survive a few hits by the krayt. Figure everytime you rush in you can get an ft2 shot in, get incapped recover, heal up, repeat, and let you pet tank while the bleeds work.

the thing you have to remember with these tissues is they are improving weapons by FIXED amounts.

SLicing is a percentage, powerups are a percentage, these are fixed amounts.

That means they are super uber on fast light hitting weapons and a whole lot less uber on a slow hard hitting weapon.

For the money you are better off buying 10 flamers and getting them all sliced, chances are you'll end up with a couple of much better weapons.

On the other hand, a krayt launcher pistol is WELL worth the money, becuase it's fast and light hitting. I have a 2.4 speed 370 damage sliced launcher.

The potentially Krayt enhanced flamethrower I've seen was 3.8 speed and hit for about 500 to about 1090 damage. It was certainly a nice weapon.Reasonably fast AND with high end damage.

My main flamethrower is 3.3 speed and does451-853 damage and it's non-Krayt enhanced. I don't think I'd pay too much for the Krayt one in light of what I already have.

That said, if I could use Krayt tissue to convert my flamethrower into something with a speed under 3.0, I'd pay through the nose for that. The issue is that you'd need to make a half dozen or so Krayt enhanced flamethrowers to be sure you'd get one that was truly outstanding (after they were each sliced). And at 5 identical tissues a Flamethrower, that's a tall order. If you have the spare tissues, and already have (or do not use) a decent pistol (LP or otherwise), then I can see rolling the dice on a Krayt flamethrower.

All I'm saying is that you can't get your hopes too too high, as an "amazing success" schematic flamethrower is probably the equal of a Krayt enhanced flamethrower made using a "good success" schematic. So be careful.

As for autofeeders, lots of mobs drop loot like that. I think that autofeeders are used in projectile weapons, no? Just as not all weapons can be Krayt enhanced, not all can use autofeeders. I'd need a weaponsmith to tell me which could take the autofeeder...and I've never heard whether they stack with Krayt enhancements.

Soloing Krayt's is an extremely difficult process even with something like a graul mauler. I've seen Krayt's take down 3 of them and still be at close to half HAM. Get close enough to heal your pet, and you're probably going to get whacked by the dragon, as it will go after you if you get in range as well, they seem to switch targets much more aggressively than anything else I've seen in the game. Not having tried that personally though, I'll reserve judgement on it's effectiveness.

My preferred method is a 2 man smuggler/Commando team with some fairly good pets. Let the pets soak up the intial attack from the krayt while you set it on fire and hit it with bleeds on the way out, if it gets after you, feign death. Yeah, that works if you're far enough away from it and keep running till the effect hits. If you're too close, it will get you and you'll be slain before you hit the ground. Also remember that at 65m you're fairly safe from it, at 64m it's coming after you whether you've shot at it or not. Having a 2 man team ensures you still have someone to watch it while you run back from the cloning facility and occasionally that's going to happen even if you do it right.

Soloing Krayts can definately be done (by smugglers), but it's a time consuming process andkeeping that dragon to yourself is the biggest problem I've run across doing it. Spending an hour working a dragon down to 1/3 HAM only to see a big group come in and clean up on it is not one of my more enjoyable things.

The answer my friend is a Master Doctor/Master Combat Medic for buffs, revives, poisons and ranged luvin for the pets. Commando/CH/Pistoleer for the Graul Mauler, Flame bleeds and HealthShot 1 and 2. Send pet first, wait for it to get into melee. Step in and lay the bleeds and poison on. Stand back and watch it die while healing from a distance. They take awhile to kill the graul and with the normal ones my doctor friend has stood under the Graul Mauler while healing it and been fine. The Buffs from the doctor make life so much better it is unbelievable. When buffed you can auto run right through agro mobs and they can not kill you before they give up the chase, least ways on the normal planets.
