Ok, I am looking for information about using Krayt Tissue and Autofeeders in the Flamethrowers and what kind of results you have seen. I am considering having one made but want to know if the price really worth it. Is this mainly a pvp thing to gain slight edge or truly makes a difference across the board.

What are stats on some of you Krayt Tissue weapons (moreso interested in Heavy Weapons) and has anyone had a weapon made with an Autofeeder?

Thanks in Advance

In order to make a flamethrower with Krayt tissue, you will need 5 identical Krayt tissues. Unfortunately (or, fortunately, if you believe in game balance), the effects of the tissues do not stack--so despite the fact that five were used, the net effect on the stats as if one were used.

All that and --(1) Some weaponsmiths believe critical failures are more common in Krayt enhanced weapons and schematics, which destroys the tissues, (2) nothing says that the the weaponsmith is going to get anything better than an average result on the necessaryschematic, in which case it may be hard to see the effect of the tissue in the finished product(in other words, if you only buy uber-flamethrowers to begin with and pass by most of the entires on weaponsmiths' vendors as not up to your standards, you may only see the resulting product as "okay") and (3) (less of an issue presumably) nothing says you'll get a good slice once it's complete.

So there are definitely issues. So much so that I have not seen a definite Krayt enhanced flamethrower yet. (Though I've seen a couple that people claimed were Krayt enhanced...but I was not so sure)

Those are all interesting points, are you under the impression its not worth the credits/effort to have one built? I think you posted you aren't even sure if you have seen a FT made with Krayt TissueAutofeeder combination, so it seems like you are skeptical as I am.

Can anyone post anything concrete?

the high end tissues can remove 0.71 speed. Even the low end ones can remove 0.31 and since flame throwers are slow, it may be worth it to just use some of the low end ones since they aren't that costly (on my server at least).

Well did a little poking around.

My FT is sliced for speed and has 4sec delay, I consider it pretty fast for its dmg 400-810

Krayt tissue on my server seems high for the result. I was quoted 250k for 5 matching tissue +30dmg -.3 speed. Now personally I hardly thing this small increase in speed is worth 250k.

I know there is +99dmg tissue, this maybe falls into this category being worth 250k. I was told there is even better, but the seller was keeping for his guild.

So what do you guys feel about the pricing vs stats increased?

If money is an issue for you then no using tissues on a FT is not worth it.

If you go get the tissues yourself then yes it "can" be a nice addition.

My FT is krayt enhanced. I ended up with a max damage a little over 50 points higher than was capable without the tissues and then I got a good slice on damage.

I love the enhanced stats but I would not pay anywhere near what you were quoted for the little gain given compared to the cost.

Ok that is inline with my thinking, this stuff is way overpriced for what it adds percentage wise. I have hunted Krayts before and in a group they aren't too bad, seem to usually spawn 2 at a time ( adult and child ). Make sure you have some CH because they hit extremely hard you need pets to absorb the damage. Solo, Im sure if you had good tactics and strong pets you could solo one but I don't know, seems it would be a daunting task.

I dont have a waypoint but if you search the forums I'm sure there is one posted look for Krayt Graveyard.

Well, about solo; you'll need to be smuggler. Never heard about a non smuggler who can solo a kryat.

I can only solo the juvie krayts with my level 24 pet. If I gave up medical I could solo the adult krayt also.

If I had any thing as strong as an AT-ST I could solo a giant krayt... easily even.
