If this Intimidator is a carbine and not a pistol...think about it this way:

In the future....(the Soon [tm] future)....JUST like BH, maybe commandos will get both a Pistol and a Carbine (or AR).....and rifles more along sniping rather than assault and heavy gunning (as is now)

That way, BH's and Commando's are really the front line assault troops....combining the two front line troops (pistoleer/carbineer) with specialization (tracking/hunting.....hvy hvy weapons). While rifleman are more support and secretive (rather than hvy weapons and secretive atm)

Who knows...

Wow, that Underslung Carbine screams "New Commando Weapon". How much heavier of a gun can you get?

I dont mean to sound too negative here, but how long have they said they were "looking at" the Commando profession? After/during the combat balance

How frustrating is it going to be to have a new gun or two, and not really be able to use them?

I'll stand by my assertion that the new guns are for Carbineer/Pistoleer/Carbineer, depending on where they put the cert.

They've said for sure that they plan to scrap the heavy support weapons line. That's a bit more than vague comments regarding looking at it...

Your the 105th person to say that ! However which one is called the Underslug ?

I didnt see any of the photos say Under Slug, yet its been mention more then once. Can someone provide me a link to see which one it is..

I personally like the Intimidator, doesnt look overly crazy and looks more practical then many weapons in the game.

You can check the .tre files yourself if you know how. The gun is titled underslung carbine. It looks like the grip is above the action of the gun which would actually look freakin awesome no matter how you spin it.

Okay, first of all, that picture is upside down. I know, "But wait Gaius, it's *underslung*." Well, notice the location of the trigger. It's not at the top of the handle(when viewing the SWG mods database picture), it's would be at the bottom, near the weapon's lower reciever. So what, like, you pull the trigger with your pinky? Hardly. Here is how it actually looks:

actually... it makes perfect sense for it to be the way it looks on SWG-mods. it's either going to be an attachment to your cyber arm, which will send the impulse to the trigger through the arm and not the trigger anyways.. or it is not too hard to support the gun with your armpit while gripping the trigger with your entire hand... the first pic is the correct orientation, this pic
http://www.icestormcity.com/lkavadas/underslung.jpg is the upside down one..

I have to disagree with this. i think the trigger is the much larger section of the grip, requiring a 3 finger pull. take a closer look at the graphic and youll see what i mean. but who cares.

btw, ive been playing around on TC2 all morning, and have actually encountered these weapons and robotic arms. the bad news is, it seems like theyre all for NPCs.

You guys are silly.

First of all, having a cybernetic armor as a pre-requisite to this weapon is utterly stupid. Secondly, a three finger pull? Okay, I'd buy that for a second or two if it wasn't for the fact that you'd be pulling the trigger with your buttom three fingers(pinky, ring, and middle). Then again, I wouldn't buy a three finger trigger because no weapon used by any military fantasy or real would have such a ginormous trigger on a personal weapon. You'd hit that thing on everything. I've been on maneuvers and have seen fellow soldiers accidentally discharge their weapons all the time from banging up against stuff, falling over, getting out of vehicles, etc.

I guarentee that picture is upside down.

heh... I may be blind, but I don't see *ANY* trigger, big or small, top or bottom, front or back... you get the idea. Looks like a smooth grip, to me...I guess there's that box on the top of what looks to bethe handguard or something...
