When I hear commando I think: SAS, SEALs, Green Beret, Force Recon...etc. Marksman with carbines and rifles with excellent accuracy. Swift in movement and execution of their missions. Armed to the teeth with grenades, flashbangs, rifles, carbines, smg's and a law or two for lightarmor vehicles. They should not be running around carrying a torch waving it around like a huge beacon of where they are. Yes, the rocket launchers and grenades make sense, but not the flamethrower or HAR.

Well, I cant really think of a good name to change it too.. I like the idea of War Vetren. Maybe "War Master".

"Chief", "BMOC"... hehe

My idea would be similar to yours Garvin. A guy who has seen a LOT of battles ( we dorequire the mostSP in a"combat" profession for novice, and more combat experience than any other profession ). Basically lasers can whiz by are heads and we wouldent even flinch. Im picturing the movie Black Hawk Down. I dont remember his name or rank, but he was the one in charge of leading the Humvee convoy. He was standing there in the open... checking out the situation with an intense scowl. When his "green" troops were fired on, they yelled, " SIR!, THEY ARE SHOOTING AT US!", he calmly replies, " well, shoot back..." Another good example from that particular movie would be the Delta Force guy that keeps returning to the city to help, even after reinforcments arrive. Sorry for all the analogies but I watched the movie last night so it was fresh on my mind.

Commandos should be able to withstand some serious punishment. An idea for a skill similar to TK Center of balance would be appropriate. Increasing defenses as we level up in our profession. I have many more ideas, but Im late from my lunchbreak.

Commandos to me are the special tactics units like the SEALs and the Rangers.

They get the toughest assignments, expected to survive and get the job done. So they get the best training available and they get the best equipment.

I don't see Commandos as pure tank buster, or heavy artilley men or something. They know how to handle explosives and grenades and such though.

They rely on stealth and rapid deployments. When they hit, they hit it very hard.

How to translate thisinto SWG... I'm not realy sure. Using the current LP and Flame Thrower as base weapons I can go with, if we recive skills for the LP. I can take grenades (if made useful) and Cannon Weapons. Like said before, replace the HAR with the E-Web fast shooting blaster.

The Unarmed I'm not realy sure if we need. Better replace that with the Exploration branch from Scout would make more sense.

Also I think we should be one of the very best combat professions. Make the necassery adjustment.
