I only skimmed the above posts, so this may ahve already been said but anyways here goes.

Back when i ahd my original character (jamfe, before i changed to my alias and deleted him) i was a bh, and loved ta take out commandos (after i had 0/2/1/2 mind you, some fo you would ahve killed me before then). I found most relied so heavily on their flamethrower that they would often end up being kited or just stand on the spot simply spamming whatever with it (i aint commando yet so i got no idea what to use, but im guessin flamesingle/cone 2) an generally missing alot. That or id use a knockdown at 64m then just start adding health and action bleeds and kiting using suppression fire, etc (when it worked). Its sad because i think the only weapon in commando taht works is the flamer, which doesnt work well as an opening weapon. Personally i intend to go master tka, and fight like this:

/unarmedknockdown2

switch to ft

/flamesingle2

no idea if itll work but on paper it looks like it will, fer groups however ill start with a flame cone 2 then just pick on single people.

An as i constantly said on the bh froums with regards to the llc, an it works fer the flamer (it should), ues /aim in front of an attack if you really need it to hit, so you only have to risk against their dodge modifiers an not their ranged defense.

No idea if thatll help, but it might

(btw almost all my pvp is done in areas with buildings so most of my tactics involve sneaking behind houses/walls etc and then getting close enough so i cant attack in the ideal range an get the first attack, corners work well)

I was PvPin today just cause I was ranting and I found another tactic...

Broadband.

I swear I closed cause my target was lagging. Did that a few times. Of course that was in conjunction with using the city for buildings and that city being coronet. lol

Just watch out for TKAs in that situation. I ran into one and am lucky to have won.

Hey guys, I just stumbled onto a good tactic seeing that we are master marksman and all. I know, not much for accuracy but you can get arround that.

OK, take a scout blaster because I believe it is the fastest ranged weapon in the game, maybe you rprefer something with better base accuracy, whatever, just as long as ham is minimal so you can spam all day long in your armor. Have the WS make it personally and full experimentation on accuracy, you are not worried about damage in this case, it will be a tool not a weapon.

OK now heres how you use it. Really simple, now supression fire is no big deal at all I say we could agree? Easy to just stand up. But what if you got a scout blaster spaming it every second or so? You dont keep em down but you keep em stuttering their run. Use that until you get to 16m then FT time.

Its not much but it can help anyone whos a commando and doesnt have any ranged professions to go with it.

you can only lower or raise a target every 30 seconds, just like knockdown and panic shot. believe me, i had more than enough fun kiting TK's this way, they nerfed this one pretty quickly.

Also, know your weapons! Rockets are great high damage dealers, but tend to be slower that the Heavy Particle beam. With you speed at master, you can miss often, and still down them.It is extremely rare that an HPBC hit isn't an incap for me.

Defending a base? Those hated little grenades can be your bestfriend! Just to night, I incapped 6 rebels with a will timed grenade. Bunch of melee types going berserk on the NPCs in the courtyard, and not too worried about the lone Imp inside, since they had rifles and BH's covering them from outside. oops, LOS Ran to the door, dropped a proton grenade, and, do the math. 3000+ Damage + 10 AoE = 6 incapped meleers Drop to a knee, and incapped 4 riflemen with the HPBC before getting forced back inside.

The Ranged guys ran down to rescue thier comrades, and caught a flame cone 2. I went down, but back up arrived and had no trouble finishing of the remaining ranged guys.

The point is, a well planned attack, with a disciplined, balanced group had a serious Problem when they ran into a commando that knew what weapons were right for the situation. I didn't get any deathblows, but my back up didn't arrive to an entrenched team with a base countdown going.

Also, as mentioned earlier, get them docs! A well placed rocket on a doc in a large battle can break the back of the most well organized attack. Docs are usually easy targets, with low defense mods, and when that rocket looses it's damage over the injured players around the doc, it an almost guaranteed multiple incap scenario, if timed right.

Know your weapons, and know your role.
