Id say if people use the test centre.. then they should not expect a fully functioning game.. what is on there now is not the final products.. there will be flaws, there will be errors.. that is part of why its being tested.. Ive read across the boards now frustrated threads about broken proffessions.. about "devs not getting it".. but thats all wrong..

The system is being fine tuned, and I hope when it goes live we will all see that they planned this good.

If some people cant use the testcentre for what it is meant to be, Id suggest they stay off it and wait for live version to come to their server.

I'm willing to give the benefit of a doubt to Helios, Starnick and Garvin that theres not a current plan to totally ream us, as it first appeared when the certs disappeared from our tree. Anyone else, I'd be much less willing to take at face value.

Time will tell.

See... that didn't hurt so bad afterall, did it? Hope to see you guys burninating stuff on TC today.

The Proton Rifle isn't firing...you can equip it but it won't do any attacks.

Thanks for the note. The fix should be out with the next patch.

A lot of the heavy weapons fire too slow for the amount of damage they doo. The Heavy Partical Cannon was easly being outdamaged by a scout blaster and other non heavy weapons that fire by far faster. If the speed is going to remain slow then the Dammage needs to be brought up drastically. The flamethrowers seem to be fine but don't do any area damage. The Proton Rifle just won't fire.

I think he is joking, cause actually we all think you are taking the EQ2 code and just incorporate the SWG graphics into it

Jokes aside now, if you read the forums you will find lots of post that say SWG is turning more and more into EQ2 with the Combat Upgrade

I could care less if its original or copied. I'm having fun with it I just don't like the particle effects for the states you end up looking like a disco ball. The weapon particle effects are awesome though.

People complain saying its like EQ2 and WoW. But the hard truth is the combat there is more engaging and fun. It is rather dull in the current SWG system of spamming specials. So if the new CU is truely like those games, then its welcome, due to the combat being more fun.

SWG really has been my first major (and only) MMORPG, so I can't really relate to WoW or EQ/EQ2. Some folks really do think its seriously cut/paste EQ2 code...

Btw - to a reply of Hvy Weapons being too slow...

If you're a Melee/MC, then they might be, thats the cost of going for melee and better tanking abilities (a more PvE commando role I think). My current build on TC-Ep3 has me doing specials of 1.1-1.5k damage every 1.75 seconds. A MBH/MC/Carbineer build does a bit more (slighty better speed than a M. Carb/MC/4004 Pistoleer). Of course I have 4 SP open which Ill probably put towards FS speed hehe...a pity though, I think because of the CU I won't be going back to any slight dabblings of hunting IV or music IV again =/

Never underestimate the stupidity of people. I've talked to many people that seriouly believe EQ2 and/or WoW code was literally copy/pasted into SWG. They 'proved' it when the EQ knowledgebase info bled into SWG searches.

Gee, both being SOE games and having linked servers... naw that cant be the reason of that bug.

Heh it has happened in the past on the current live servers. Mainly due to the reason that we share the same tell and mail systems, and most likely share the same knowledge databases. If we didnt, then we couldn't send tells across games =D

Let's be realistic. SOE most likely has rather strigent guidelines regarding version control. An SWG dev wouldn't be able to access EQ2's source.
